關於知床國立公園
知床 (Shiretoko) 這個名字來自阿伊努語「Shiri Etoku」，意思是「地球的遙遠角落」，而這正是這裡給人的感覺。知床國立公園位於日本的最北端 (不包含北領地)，有流冰和火山活動形成的崎嶇宏偉地形景觀，還有令人讚嘆的野生動物生態。這裡還有棕熊、虎鯨等大型哺乳動物，還有瀕臨絕種的猛禽。這裡因為同時有海洋、河流和森林，所以有獨特的生物多樣性和地質，也正是因為如此，這座國家公園才能有如此重要的生態系統 (事實上，這裡因為如此重要而登記為世界自然遺產)。
