On the other hand we are sorry to read that you found your room too dark. We always try to upgrade every SLH guest to un upper category, as we did on this occasion , and we are happy to honor all the benefits, however our rooms are spread across two buildings and upgrades to the top suites in Villa Machiavelli are not always available.

Our Estate is made of 2 adjacent buildings from the XV century surrounded by our vineyards , olive groves, the common garden with the infinity pool and the restaurant. Most of our public areas are available for private functions/events , including the historical Villa Machiavelli, however we still offer the same services and attention to every guest in the Estate. I am very sorry if you felt that was not the case.
With regards to our breakfast , it is very often included in our rates and it is always confirmed on the confirmation email we sent, however ,we agree with you, it needs to be reconfirmed verbally upon arrival.
