Thank you for your review. Our rooms are painted in an antique white Sherwin Willam's paint with a white trim. The Slocum Room, Room #2, has 5 lights in the room and does feature a queen four poster bed. The guest room is outfitted with antique federalist style pieces which do occasionally require repair. Our maintenance team has since reviewed all pieces and repaired any issues.
These guests were not satisfied the moment they entered the Inn. Lauren and I attempted to offer solutions to their problems but none were accepted. While we agree that Newport is an expensive town to stay in we pride ourselves on offering a medium price range for an above average product. These particular guests paid $215 for a Saturday night and $125 for a Sunday night stay. In regards to the bathroom, this room does have a small bathroom (clearly described on our website) and a sink in the main room which is similar to most large hotel chains. We did have a place to hang hand towels but have since added another rung. Please refer to our other reviews in regards to our impeccable cleanliness standards which we take very seriously.
Thank you for your review, it was a pleasure having you ladies stay with us and we're glad to hear that you were comfortable. The Snuggery is our smallest guest room, which features a queen size bed on one level and a spiral staircase within the room that leads to the private bathroom on the next level.
