Thank you for your review and thoughts about the Highland Manor Inn. I am sorry that your stay was not what you expected. My husband and I built the inn and have operated Highland Manor Inn for 33 years. We do our best to keep all the parts in good order so that the sum will deliver a positive and comfortable experience for everyone that stays with us.
Thank you for mentioning the lighting, as one of my housekeepers could have put the wrong size bulb in the lamps, and we will certainly check on that. I do apologize for the disinfectant cleaner odor that we use. We want the rooms to be very clean and to provide a healthy environment for our guests. I guess it could smell strong to sensitive noses. The air conditioning units that cool the rooms are not normally loud, so I wish you would have called that to my attention while you were here so we could have taken a look and discovered what was the trouble, and moved you to another room that would have better met with your approval. The same is true about the Wi-Fi. Our Wireless system is quite sophisticated and works well to provide Internet for our guests. We have had some guests whose online activities have used a tremendous amount of the bandwidth for a while, and until they finished, others experienced slow response times. I could have checked on the system at the moment you were having trouble, if I had known, and very well could have offered a remedy. We do have the Business Center in the office with guest computer privileges anytime the office is open. Again, I am sorry that your stay with us did not meet your expectations.
