We're glad you found the overall atmosphere of Qamea relaxing with the grounds' natural beauty, but your Royal Beach House with it's full Jacuzzi and private plunge pool certainly give you the top experience all around.

This falls into the category of nonsense and just plain fiction. The former guest that posted this “review" originally booked with our resort through an online booking company in February. As with all guests that pay in advance, this guests signed a credit authorisation form which clearly outlined the costs, and stated that the charge would be made by our reservation company, Profile Holdings Hotel Management. The first two credit cards he provided were declined. Finally a third credit card went through. Shortly after the charge appeared on his bill he contacted our reservation office in June concerned about the identity of Profile Holdings, and when we explained to him that this is our reservation company he was fine with it, and that was the last we heard from him until he and his wife arrived on our resort 4 days ago. The day before this guest arrived we received a letter from our bank that the guest had reported the transaction as fraud and that he did not authorise the charge, and the funds were pulled out of our account on July 6. We showed our guest the correspondence from our bank which clearly confirmed that we had not been paid, and also that in fact he as the cardholder had disputed the transaction and had arranged to have it voided. We confirmed yesterday again that the funds had been pulled from our account at the instruction of the cardholder.
Throughout the day (yesterday), the guest was belligerent and obviously intoxicated, threatened our staff, threatened to disrupt other guests, and more. Meals and other services were not withheld. This morning the guest did check out, he paid his bill by credit card, and departed the resort on time.
We have proudly owned and operated Qamea Resort & Spa for 18 years, and along with our amazing staff, work very hard to provide our guests with an incredible and authentic luxury Fijian outer island experience. Given our popularity and solid reputation, we have had the honour of welcoming literally thousands of amazing guests from around the world. This obviously was not one of them. There is nothing that we could or would have done differently. We are only very sorry for the verbal abuse and stress that our on resort staff endured as a result of the antics of this person.

Bula Brad H. It is with some confusion and astonishment that we approach to this review. Despite some investigation into our own records and further inquiries through Tripadvisor, we have not been able to verify that anyone matching your name or photograph has stayed at the resort during the dates specified, or anywhere near this time, either in the room category specified or in any other room category available around these dates. This is of some concern to us, as we are an exceedingly small resort and as a rule, know and recall all our former guests and feedback contributors. After carefully reviewing all the written guest feedback forms from this time, we have been unable to match any of these to the review above, and this has – for the first time on this forum – raised some questions in our minds as to the authenticity of these claims, and the identity of the author. However, all feedback is extremely important to us, and we feel it important to address the issues raised in this post.
We very much regret that you felt our staff routinely were in the way of your view. Although this feedback is rather at odds with the vast majority of feedback we receive regarding the demeanor and behavior of staff at Qamea, we appreciate such comments, as these ensure that the service we offer to our guests is constantly evolving to a higher standard.
We regret also that you did not enjoy your dining experience – we go to great lengths to procure the freshest local produce and import at great expense the finest ingredients from Australia and New Zealand. Our team of chefs have received extensive training from our European culinary consultant, who designs our menus with a view to offering a wide range of dining options to suit all tastes.
Our Jungle Spa has won multiple international awards and is widely considered one of the best spa and massage facilities in all of Fiji; the comments about being ‘beat up’ are truly unlike any other feedback we have ever encountered before.
The notion that the resort atmosphere resembles that of a “spring break experience” is the remark which most puzzles us. As we are a small, luxurious and private destination on an extremely remote tropical island inhabited by only a few small, peaceful villages, this observation is unlike any we have ever received before. It is very difficult for us to fathom how this impression may have arisen as our property by design does not, nor has it ever, facilitated anything resembling a raucous party atmosphere.
Kindly pardon our candour in this response; we warmly invite the reviewer to please feel free to contact us to further discuss these matters, and assist us in clarifying some of these impressions.
