Thank you for your lovely review. We agree it is special to be able to see the sunrise and sunset on the easily accessible beaches on either side of the resort.
Thank you for your review. We agree Palm Bay is a great place to relax.
We are surprised at your review as your husband told us he enjoyed his stay with us.
After reading your review it appears you did not read the information sent to you when you made your booking.
This information clearly states that we are a self-catering resort and gives options for ordering food. We also have a small store with meat, fish, chicken, some fresh produce, eggs, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, snack foods, pasta, sauces, rice, tinned food etc.
The pizza kitchen is open from Wednesday to Sunday. We only recently implemented this facility as we wanted to give our guests another option if they didn't feel like cooking.
We are an eco-certified resort and therefore do not do daily linen changes however if a guest requests a change of towels in between we are more than happy to do this. You did request this during your stay but then changed your mind. You were also only here for two nights.
You also mentioned that there is no activity. Despite this comment, you went on a helicopter tour that we organised for you while you were here. We also offer kayaks, tennis court, fishing tackle and snorkelling gear. We have a media room, bush walks and there are seaplane and boat tours accessible from the resort. We also have a day spa, swimming pool and a fully licensed bar.
You can certainly swim and snorkel in the sea. During the stinger season (November to April) you are advised to wear the protective suits that are available at the resort. We do advise that you do not swim at the back beach on the southern side of the resort as only the tennis court is situated on this side therefore far fewer people frequent this side of the resort. The front beach has a beach pavilion and deck with sun loungers. We also have a beachfront bar that is generally open in the afternoons.
We are a 4.5-star resort. May I suggest, as it seems you desire five to six-star service, you might want to consider booking a luxury resort for your next holiday, although you will pay considerably more for this. A nearby resort on another island in the Whitsundays starts their room only rates at $1350 per night. You stayed in our suite for $395 per night.
We hope the next time you book a holiday that you read the website of the property and the information sent to you carefully so you understand what you are booking.
