Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that you had reasons for being less than happy in certain instances. We are an eco-conscious hotel, so our hot water is supplied via Solar Heating which is supplemented by Electrical Heating when the water is low, or if the solar gain in inadequate. There is around 300 litres of hot water allocated to each room, and this is normally more than adequate to fulfil your needs. We will investigate to see you were not able to get hot water. We are sorry about this.
About your dining experience, we endeavour to serving our customers from our a-la-carte menu within 20-30 minutes. Again we will investigate why this was not, in your case.
This is not a city centre hotel and will never pretend to be so. We are located in a place of beauty, solitude and uniqueness that we want to share with our guests. As a result, you do have to accept that isolation is a part of that attraction.
You can hire a vehicle for a small amount of money and eat out in town. However, we believe that this will defeat the whole objective of your stay and experience with us, but as our guest you will always have that choice.
Thank you for your comments. We are a small hotel, located in an idyllic part of the southern coast. So if you expected our staff to be conversing in perfect Queen's English, I am afraid we have not achieved this as yet. We employ staff from the area and we help them learn communications, guest relations and other skills on a regular basis. We will take you comments on-board and see how we can improve what we do already.
We have two levels for bedrooms. On the 2nd floor, the balconies at each room is self-contained and not open to the next room. At the higher level, you have a commanding view of the sea and our surrounds. These balconies are 90 sq ft/8.5 Sq mtrs and smaller than the balconeis on the first floor. On the first floor, we have left openings in part of the balcony (see website photos for deluxe rooms) so that your view from the room in un-interrupted. These balconies are 220 sq ft/20 Sq mtrs.
Our smoking guests are only allowed to smoke at the balcony when they in the room. The constant sea-breeze should normally dissipate any secondary smoke effects without carrying it to the next guest area. We are sorry if this was not the case for you.
Perhaps, if you did speak to our staff, we could have considered a way to help you.
Sorry about the Tuna, I am sure you spoke to the Chef as well as the Restaurant Manager to resolve this.
