Hello, we thank you for your kind review, although we have to correct the information about the cook who is very Sicilian and one of the most appreciated cooks in Italy. Best regards, Gianofrio
Thank you for your review, although it seems that you did not understand the real value of the room you have slept in. The room is in an ancient watchtower built in the 13th century and restored in the 16th century by the great architect, Francesco Camilliani, who also designed the Fontana Pretoria in Palermo. The spiral staircase is a part of the inner wall of the tower and brings our guests on the first floor, and not on the third. If you would have taken a closer look you would have noticed that the ceiling of the ground floor of the ancient tower is 7 meters high.
As to the restaurant: our chef prepares every dish with fresh ingredients and so it can happen that we run out of some ingredient. The pasta is always handmade fresh pasta and in some cases Pasta of Gragnano (renown as the best dry pasta in Italy).
If you want to know how our breakfast is rated by our guests please read the many reviews of the past (and also those of the future). Our breakfast is a continental breakfast and we prepare American/English breakfast only on demand. If you had asked us on beforehand to have a different breakfast, we could have prepared it for the time you would arrive in the breakfast room. This is the procedure in all hotels of the world.
We are the opinion that every critic is a good critic because we learn from the experience of our guests. From your critic we learned that, although we provide to each client a brochure with the information on the history and the services of our hotel, some guests need some extra information on the historical peculiarity of our hotel.
