It is correct that we are not a working Distillery anymore, all of our Whiskey is today produced in Midleton in County Cork and has been since the 1970s.
We are a Whiskey Museum and we provide a guided tour to explain the basic Whiskey making process and to point out the main differences between our Whiskey and other Whiskeys on the market (For Example American and Scotch). Every tour is fully guided by a trained tour guide and each stage contains various Models and Videos depicting Distillery life.
We do not show Whiskey being made but rather we explain the process and the uniqueness of our product.

We are no longer a working Distillery, We are a Whiskey Museum located in one of the original Distillery buildings. Our Role is to Guide people through the Whiskey making process with the aid of a fully trained guide and various videos and models. The admission price is for the Guided tour and a glass of Jameson Whiskey at the end. We Choose 4 Ladies and 4 Gents per tour to participate in the Tutored Whiskey Tasting and this is done on a complimentary basis, if people are disappointed at not getting chosen they can of course pay a supplement to do the tasting as well. The Tour is designed to show the differences between our Whiskey and others on the market and it is only natural wherever you go in the world to do a Distillery or Brewery tour they will tell you theirs is the best!.
When purchasing a ticket a digital count down display is clearly visible at reception, this counts down the time until the next tour begins. The reason for this is that as all of our tours are fully guided and we need to allow some space between each one. When purchasing your ticket you are told which tour you are on and how long the wait will be.
