I am a frequent customer of Raful. The place is simple and if you want to have a lunch come early during weekdays. Please avoid fridays and weekends, the place gets really crowded becouse of people that goes shopping at 25 de março. One of my favourites in SP.
This place is a must while visiting SP. I've been coming here for over 8 years and have to visit at least once each trip if not more. The bacaloa - cod fish pastels are incredible. All the food they prepare is over the top i case you don't like fish. The Market place is like a traditional eauopean market....
This restaurant is in the second floor of the mercado municipal. They have several options for mortadela sandwiches and a few pastels. They do not have fries or anything to go with it, which was a little disappointing. If you go with someone, make sure to split the sandwich, because it is very big.
Stayed here 6 nights. Staff were very friendly although did not speak English. My room had the essentials such as AC, fridge and hot shower. Wifi was free but not fast. Breakfasts were good and varied but there was no restaurant for an evening meal and there were few nearby restaurants. It is in walking distance to the metro.
