This is a small, interesting museum which shows how traditions surrounding funerals have changed over the years, and also explains the procedures of a cremation. Set in the lovely (and absolutely massive) grounds of the central cemetery, this museum is well worth a visit.
My partner and I travelled to Vienna to visit all of the locations featured in the Richard Linklater film "Before Sunrise". We managed to cover the lot in three days, and this was by far the hardest to find. It was also the most spectacular, and certainly worth the eight blisters that formed on my feet on the way there....
My wife and I booked seats for the 9.15am mass in the Burgkappele for two reasons, first, go to Sunday mass, 2nd, to hear the Vienna Boys Choir accompanied by the Wiener Philharmonic. The experience was just mesmerising and tearful. These voices singing the entire mass was beautiful. Even if your not of the catholic faith it will move you....

I would recommend any visitor to Vienna who has seen the Central Cemetary (Zentrafriedhof) to pass by this place on their way back to the city centre.
You get typically Austrian food in a typically Viennese atmosphere. Best of all, you will not starve ;-)

We were recommended to this restaurant by our Airbnb host and we're excited to try it after a concert. Sadly and expensively, they were closing. Accuracy in hours would have saved us time and lots of money. I am quite upset and disappointed.
Visited twice here over a long weekend visit. The restaurant is nicely decorated, a little dated but nice in that way. Waitress was very attentive, her English wasn’t great but we tried to speak her language and she understood us.. Drinks were lovely, the Weissbier was the best! Food was great, good sized portions and tasted lovely. Would certainly recommend...
