We (a German couple) have stayed at Maja's and Lenz's place for about 5 days in November 2013 and enjoyed every minute. The Swiss-German couple is very friendly and helpful. They have created a little "Garden Eden" for their guests, with very nice bungalows, a pool and a wonderful garden, where you can pick fresh herb for cooking. They have a pack of cudly dogs that greet you every time you arrive and some of them stay with you very familiar. Their employees are very helpful and friendly, too. If you have any question: Maja can help you and answers you all questions. Her Guave Jam is delicious!!! Though you can relax in the pool all day long (because it is a very cool place), the beach is only about 8 minutes to walk. And: there are no beachboys at this beach (in contrary to Watamu beaches). We really recommend this place! The only missing thing was a hammock.... ;-) Thanks a lot…

The bungalows are located about 250 meters from the beach, surrouned by a nice garden with lots of trees and flowery plants; they are clean and simply, but nicely furnished, the kitchens are well equipped. A large swimmingpool invites the guests for daily swims. Maja and Lentz do everything to make you feel comfortable, do try her Mango Jam, its excellent.

This place is really nice and the owners are great! Maja really helps you with anything! The bungalows are very nice and really has every comfort, and the staff even comes and do your dishes after EVERY meal :-) Also has great location, as there are hardly any beach boys on the beach close to the bungalows, whereas when ones get into Watamu it is a nightmare! The poolarea is also very nice and intimate, really enjoyed our 10 days there! The only downpoint is that you are 200 m inland, which means there are many mosquitos at night, whereas if you are right on the seaside, you'll not see any! But for this very convenient price it is really great value!

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of november. Very comfortable and friendly swiss/german run cottages on a compound within 10 minutes walk of watamu beach. Fans and mosquito nets but no aircon. Beautiful swimming pool that we had to ourselves most of the time. Houseboy came in several times a day to clean/ make bed/ wash dishes. Friendly and very helpful owners who have lived there for many years. Short Tuk Tuk ride to Watamu village or to the beach hotels for an evening meal if so desired. We had a couple of very pleasurable and reasonably priced lunches at Hemmingways hotel, just along the beach. All in all an excellent budget choice for Watamu.
