Airport transportation into Manhattan is offered through private companies and is either by taxi, shuttle bus service, private car service or public train. The train is the cheapest way and takes the longest and costs $7.75 per person but requires changing trains and taking the subway.
Shuttle buses are $21.50 per person each way for John F. Kennedy (JFK) and have multiple stops so they will take longer than the direct route of the taxi. If you are interested in a shuttle service for your pick up, please go on line tto goairlinkshuttle com to book your shuttle service direct through them. We sell the return shuttle ticket at the bell stand if you require it.
Taxis have a flat rate fee of $52.00 plus tip and a toll of $7.00 for either direction for JFK. Taxis impose a $4.50 surcharge during peak hours (4-8 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.) There is also a NY State tax of 50 cents added to trips within New York for a total fare of $64.00.
Private car transportation pick up from the airport offers the services of the driver of a 4 door Sedan that can accommodate up to 4 people, parking his car and waiting inside the terminal with a sign with the guest’s name in the baggage claim area. JFK is $77.00 plus tip, and parking fees of $6.00 for the first 30 minutes of wait time. There can be additional waiting fees if there are customs delays. SUV’s/Mini Vans are $40 more than the regular 4 door Sedan and can carry up to 6 people.
If you are 2 or more people, the taxi is the best value and quickest and most direct way coming into the city from JFK.
For transportation to the airport from Manhattan, private cars prices are $67.00 plus tip for JFK. SUV’s/Mini Vans are $40 more and can carry up to 6 people.
For transportation to the airports from Manhattan, we recommend using the private car service going back as you can only hail a taxi in the city and during busy drive and rush hour periods or inclement weather, taxis can be difficult to hail or many times won’t honor the flat rate. The private car is waiting for you at the hotel curb, at your desired time, at your demand.
Our bellmen/concierge will be happy to assist you with any private car arrangements you require. If you use a credit card to pay for the private car service, the car company charges an additional 10% surcharge.
****Prices are based on one piece of luggage per passenger. Additional luggage or people will result in an increase in rate or change of vehicle size.****
