Have just booked for the Always Argyll tour on the 17th of July for myself and my sister. I booked by phone rather than online so that I could explain that I was prepared to pay extra for a superior room with a larger bathroom. I was told that all the rooms are the same. I can see from the hotel photographs that some rooms have bay windows and therefore (I would imagine) better views. Also some reviewers complain of small bathrooms and noise from adjoining rooms. What can you advise. This is my first coach tour and I don't know what to expect.
My partener and I were unfortunate enough to be placed in room 57 at the Royal Hotel at Tyndrum, having read the remarks of passed visitors complaints about noisy cielings seem to be regular since 2014 for rooms 55 to 59. The response to me from the hotel was that you cannot be held responsible for the activities of guests who have trouble sleeping. I beg to differ.
The actions of the people above our heads were to walk backwards and forwards across their room for an hour after we went to bed and they started again an hour before we would have liked have got up. Even when we intended getting up at 6'o' clock the day of departure. Goodness knows the reason for this activity, but considering the number of complaints you must have recieved I would say it was down to the hotel management to rectify the problem with the floor or close the offending rooms.
For the sake of other unaware guests, I do not intend letting this matter drop without a solution, our five day break was ruined by four nights in room 57. I would like to know what you intend doing about the problems with these rooms?

My wife and I are booked in for CS Tour at the Royal in September.
I'm a Coeliac,I've not had Gluten Free Diet problems in any of the hotels we've stopped at, throughout Europe in the past 18 years .
Can the Chef at the Royal, assure me of Gluten Free food during my week long stay, as I see a comment about problems with dietary requirements ?
