First trip to Gambia, Nov. 2015. Stayed on Mansea Beach Hotel. Good, clean room with air conditioning and comfortable beds. Good pool. The staff was wonderful, cheerful and helpful. The breakfast was good, however, wish that they served Tapalapa, their domestic bread.
I travel to The Gambia several times a year, working as a volunteer for an educational charity. We always stay at Mansea Beach for the first and last nights - a comfortable bed, a working shower and air conditioning is real luxury!

Have just returned from Gambia, where I stayed at Mansea Beach at the beginning and end of my work. -have used the hotel for the last 6 years on a regular basis, whilst working as a volunteer for 'Schools for Gambia'.
I have never used a mosquito net at the hotel and have always been bite-free. Room cleanliness is good and air conditioning is efficient.
Do make sure that you take prophilectic medication against malaria.
