I recently was told that Carillon, unlike virtually every other resort in Miami Beach, has a dress code for men's swimwear: no thongs or g-strings.
I cannot believe this is true, people from all over the world come to Miami Beach in part because it is a cosmopolitan city largely devoid of the common prejudices and oppressive social pressures found in many other American cities. Further, if Carillon has four pools, at least one of which is adults only, does this policy make any sense at all?
Can you confirm this dress code is actually your policy?

There is an adult pool. Also a wonderful beach.
I have not heard of a bathing suit dress code.
I suggest you call the hotel.
We love the hotel and the facilities.
Great gym and spa.
I want to come with my family for Christmas for 5 nights. There are 6 adults and 2 children, ages 5 and 10. Can we manage with 2 rooms or suites? Are your suites capable of housing 4 persons in each room? ( I am a former lover of Canyon Ranch and have visited both Arizona and Massachusetts.)
We have a 5-year-old and a ten-year-old. Is there a kids pool?

Yes, There are in total four pools where one is adult only. Two of them catching the morning sun where the third allows you catching the afternoon sun. The adult pool gets both morning and afternoon sun. The beach is just across the boardwalk from the hotel which is very nice as well. We liked the complimentary kids program as well such as "Olympic Games" or "kids dance". Check it out you'll love it. Best, Ben
