Who is managing this site for The Lodge at Tamarron? Because here is the deal, every unit is owned by somebody and each owner decides what they want to do with the unit. So for the vacation renter ... first of all ... Tamarron Vacation Rentals is the official rental company inside of Tamarron Lodge and the front desk phone number is 1-800-678-1000 extension "0". These guys seem to work for the majority of owners that rent their property out as vacation rentals at Tamarron Lodge. Everything else that you see online -- from 3rd parties like Expedia or Hotels or Travelocity or VRBO or Purgatory/DMR or whatever owner that you talk to about a specific unit - is probably not with this rental program.
So because it isn't established as to WHO specifically is managing this Trip Advisor Site, I am telling you the difference to save you some grief. Several of these reviews - especially the ones that are bad - don't all apply to the units that is in this Tamarron program which has a compliance about how the units should look and function. You have to do your research. I suggest to check out the room number on the review and then call the front desk and see if they manage it.
Keep in mind that there are owners that work with other property companies or owners that rent their own units and that's fine, but I am just trying to tell you the difference. All I can tell you is that I have been in several units for viewing and Tamarron Vacation Rentals gives you the most variety to pick from.
You receive the opportunity to get their fullest help at the front desk. The front desk cannot help you as fully when you book into a unit that they do not manage -- get the picture? How can they give you extra towels or extra blankets or get a new TV into the unit or give you a hair dryer when they don't manage the unit? So if you want extra towels or don't like the TV in the unit that is not managed by the Tamarron Program, you gotta talk with the owner or the company that you booked through.
I have watched the front desk people get cussed out repeatedly for not being able to fix something as soon as possible or get a customer something right away. And that is totally understandable from the customer viewpoint because it makes sense to go to the front desk for help. But this place is different and it's not a "hotel" so read the reviews with caution.
Who is managing (or the lack thereof) the Trip Advisor website for Tamarron as a Whole?
Tamarron is not a 'Hotel', Guest should not be misguided in believing as such. Reviews by guest should be directed at the UNIT # and Who is MANAGING. Units are owned by individual owners and what they or their management represents to prospected guest, as far as what that room has to offer in terms of cleanliness and decor is on their backs; meaning the owner of that UNIT # and Who is MANAGING, Not Tamarron as Whole.
Nor should the Staff or Maintenance treat guest any different because they have booked (through the front desk) and are being managed by anyone other than Heather Dawson. If someone has a issue with any of the common area(s) of Tamarron, staff should (and that’s why your on the payroll) take care of that issue if at ALL Possible.
