I travel to Chengdu next month and I think to stay at Tibet Hotel .
How should I travel from airport to Tibet Hotel and how much should I expect to pay?
What currency should I take with us?
Has the hotel any transport service from the airport to Tibet Hotel?

I'm sorry to inform you but there has been a mistake as I have never been to Chengdu.
You say in your review that this was a touring holiday in China. Did you do this independently or through a travel company? If so who did you use and are there any places/things to see or do that you would recommend?
My hubby and I are thinking of China this year as a holiday of a lifetime and to tick off my wish list so would be interested to hear your views please.
Thanks very much.

Hi Val - we booked our escorted tour of China with Mercury Holidays. I would absolutely recommend them. They have a selection and the tour we did was "The Wonders of China" - because I expected that once I have been to China it is unlikely we shall go again (so many other places I would like to visit) .I studying the itinerary because I wanted to visit the Panda sanctuary, to see the Terracotta Army, go to the Great Wall and to spend a few days cruising along the Yangtzee River while there. We did this and so much more.We chose the 16 day holiday flying direct from Heathrow to Shanghai where we were met at the airport by our guide for the whole holiday.Doing a guided tour we saw so many things, this was a holiday of a lifetime. Every hotel we stayed at was excellent. The whole holiday was far more than we expected. An experience we shall never forget.
We have booked to go with Mercury again, we are going to India, another fully escorted tour, of Karela. This time we are opting for a 4 day beach stay at the end of the tour because I needed a rest when I returned home from China.! Good luck - if you do go I am sure you will enjoy.
