This was an interesting experience. Set on the Mekong river and next to two small villages, the place has potential, but we went away thinking that more of an effort could be made considering the price we paid.

We visited and stayed at Kamu Lodge as part of a Luang Say trip to Huay Xai. There is a lot of information in other reviews about the lodge, which we liked. We also found the activities interesting (particularly rice planting!).

Everything was really good.. we had such fun and an interesting experience. Loved the beautiful gardens, rice fields, visiting the village and farm. 2 things.. the menus need updating with correct prices and for an eco village, having flushing toilets is a no no, composting...更多
We enjoyed everything about the entire experience. The boat trip up river begins the relaxation process and by the time you arrive, see the tents, setting amidst the rice paddies, and have lunch you feel like you are really on vacation. We stayed two nights,...更多

Hi - children are more than welcome to stay at Kamu Lodge, the thing to be mindful of (as the other traveler has suggested) is that the only access to and from the lodge is by boat. It's a steep walk on sand from the boat to the village area, however it's manageable for kids and our staff are on hand to assist as needed. Also need to be aware that there is only solar power to supply the hot water in the bathrooms and any electricity on property. The facilities in the tents are comfortable and on a terracotta tiled floor - the 4 of you would share in the same tent. The bathroom has a shower with no bathtub.
