Great location near the center of town, and is well known so you shouldn't have issues getting lost. The Hostel itself is very nice with a center courtyard and traditional feel. In addition they have a 24 hour front desk which is nice for tours...更多

my advice?...don't go to a kiosk in the airport unless you are JUST arriving in Peru and dont know the difference between registered cabs and not. They are more expensive and if your backpacking...ever dollar counts! Take a street cab. I only payed 6 soles and refused to pay more. If you're getting in a cab, look for photo ID (should be on dashboard or right hand corner of window) and if there's a dispatch system that is the best. ALWAYS negotiate a set price before you even set foot in the cab. The one that I used to take a lot I think was called tourismo or touristico???...something along those lines?! you could send an email to the hostel or google safe taxi companies.
ALSO if you have time, and if you like beautiful incredible things, I highly suggest taking a collectivo (6 soles) to a town about an hour and a half away called Ollantaytambo. I lived there for a month and it is COVERED in beautiful Inka ruins. if you want to go for a ten minute walk, or if you want to do a 5 day trek up mount Veronika it is safe, STUNNING and so tranquil. As a single female traveler I lived in my tent for 3 days and it was one of the best experiences that I had.
All the best on your travels!
