FYI - I do not see a reply to the owner's message option, so i do not know if asking a question back to the reviewer helps.
"It is not clear in your review whether you were able to communicate your dissatisfaction to the Front of House Supervisor at the time?" ... Obviously NOT, i do not care about paying for the cake and making a scene for silverware, i think that is called customer service where the waiters are trained to rectify their own problems and not once did anyone ask if everything was ok, not even the waitress handing me the silverware.
I only wrote the review for setting the expectations right for who ever the next couple might be thinking of spending a special occasion at the restaurant and also for you guys to know that this is happening, it ruins someones evening and has nothing to do with getting free stuff by asking for it, i think it is too much to expect for your clients to complain about every small thing to the front staff, not everyone is that confrontational and that is why all the review business !
I wish you all the best and hopefully improved service the next time we make it there !
Hello, do you have any pet friendly yurts?
I have a little Scotty that goes everywhere with me.

Very sorry, but we do not allow pets in the Yurts.
We're scheduled to stay at the Treebones Resort in early June. While searching for things to do in the area, we learned of the bad winter storms and mudslides resulting in parts of Hwy 1 shutting down.
We send our best to the people and businesses of Big Sur during this trying time! Hopefully things will be back up and running sooner than expected.
I do, however, have some concerns regarding the alternative route to the resort mentioned in a handful of recent reviews--some make it seem like a heart-attack inducing adventure while others make it sound like the best part of the trip!
A few years back, we drove the Road to Hana in Maui. Has anyone taken both roads that can offer an honest comparison? If not, any additional feedback regarding how long the rough parts lasted, etc. would be very much appreciated!
Also, does anyone have advice on hiking/sight-seeing options that are still open?
Thank you for your time and assistance!

The alternate road is very narrow and winding. I have not been to Hawaii so I can't compare it. Just be prepared to take it very slowly, and you will be fine. There are some stunning views from this road, so you may want to stop and take a few pictures. Hiking at the state parks in the area is fabulous, and if the highway is still closed, you may be lucky enough to have these incredible places all to yourself, as we did. Bottom line, the closing of the highway was a mixed bag for us - great places but we missed the drive up the coast.
