I’ll say as much as the hotel has the most amazing views, from the pool and the rooms. Rooms are new. Now everything else:
1. Upon check in, we got a 2 bedroom, I could smell something in the kitchen. The garbage of the previous guest was still under the kitchen sink! In a time of COVID, you hope hotels go the extra mile to clean.
2. TV’s we’re not working properly, they had to replace the ones in the bedroom and living room. And the entertainment system they have is impossible to use!
3. The yelling drunk man. IATF requires that guests reserve the pool area. My schedule was confirmed and then moved without telling me, good thing I asked. And when I got there, I had to tell the previous guests swimming to move out, no one is monitoring. They left the pool but didn’t leave the tables. One guest was SO DRUNK and started yelling at us and at the staff asking him to leave. My niece and nephews were there, I was worried for their safety. Ultimately, the staff let him stay cause he wouldn’t leave. He was yelling, was afraid he might start a fight. AND THIS WAS ON CHRISTMAS DAY.
4. Next day they gave me the 12-1 pm pool reservation and assured me there’d be no one else. Of course another family showed up at 12:15 saying they had just confirmed the same time slot also.
5. And they are clearly understaffed right now, one guy took the garbage away, brought towels, changed the TV, spoke to drunk man, and then was the guy who checked us out.
I expressed my concerns, they apologised but nothing was written down. Ah well.
Go for the views, but be afraid if a drunk man is around, he apparently lives in the building.
This is the first time we stayed here. I thought they were connected with Dusit Hotel in Makati but I think they’re not. We booked the hotel via one of their agents but unfortunately we had a problem with our booking we already paid for our room and when we got there they advised us that they are fully booked. My husband got aggravated because we were already expecting that we’ll have our staycation and we cannot contact the agent that booked us. She wasn’t answering our calls and text.
Good thing one of their leasing staff was there who assisted us and gave us a room we booked a 1 BR suite room (we were reserved for a Studio unit) but decided to book a bigger room because the studio unit was not ready yet.
The place needs a lot of improvement they are still new that’s why I understand that there are some hiccups. Check in time wasn’t good at all we were able to check in at 5 PM already but gave us complimentary late check out. Staffs were pleasant and service were good. Unfortunately they don’t have a phone that will connect you with the reception so you’ll have to go down to ask for something even the wifi password. Wifi was fast. Tv does not have cable you can only watch local channels. Pool at the roofdeck was awesome! Its very cold! Its one my favorite place in the hotel its overlooking BGC. One thing I didn’t like was the CR/Shower room at the pool area is kind of dirty and smells bad. You should do something about it.
Hotel is located just beside SM Aura so you can definitely do some shopping and groceries when you get bored. Its so nice to walk around BGC it feels that you’re not in Manila. There are a lot of good restaurants around the area. The place has its own parking that’s why its free.
Given how affordable the place is I will definitely go back given a chance.
