Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity (Bermuda Cathedral)
Perot Post Office
Hi - I've been trying to get a hold of the hotel by calling and emailing but haven't received any response. I'm hoping this method works. We're flying in to Bermuda March 2- March 6 and are interested in staying there. A few questions:
1. how close are beaches? It sounds like not far but we'd have to take busses?
2. I'm vegetarian and gluten free. Can you accommodate for breakfast?
3, The fireplace in Captain's. It says it's an electric fireplace. Does that mean it's a actual fireplace and I simply turn switch on/off flames?
4. You charge an extra $25 for the 2nd person?

10 mins walk to to town. I can't comment on busses but mopads are a great way to get around. Bermuda is small and distances are short. They will accommodate gluten free. They are vegetarians do don't expect bacon and eggs.
We are interested in booking a room with you in April. Are there bicycles for use? Are we able to use the fridge and kitchen for evening meals? Also it looks like we would need to switch rooms mid-stay due to availability. What is the best way to get in contact with you for that transaction (April 7-12, first 4 nights in the Bermudiana, and the last night in the Bird of Paradise)?
Many thanks - and we are looking forward to visiting.

Bicycles are not available at Kingston House but may perhaps be rented in town. Mopeds can be rented in Hamilton. While a refrigeration/freezer is available to the guests, there are no cooking facilities. I doubt if any B&B would be permitted to allow guests to prepare their own meals on the premises for insurance purposes alone.
Complete the online form on Kingston House's website and pay in advance online.
We will be staying with you very soon (August 2015) Could you tell us which public beaches have toilets, food stands, and chair/umbrella rentals, and are also walkable from a bus stop or ferry stop? I'm guessing Horseshoe Bay and Tobacco Bay would make this list but I would imagine you may have to contend with the large cruise ship crowds on certain days of the week at these two places, so if you know of any other "hidden gems" that are less crowded please let us know. Thanks!

Most beaches have a bus stop very near them. There are buses running the length of the South Shore Rd. so you can access John Smith's Bay, Elbow Beach, Warwick Long Bay, Horseshoe Bay, Church Bay and other smaller beaches. The North Shore buses will take you to Gibbons Bay, Shelley Bay, etc. There are a number of lovely beaches in the east end and, although the main bus routes terminate in St. Georges, there is a jitney that will take you to Tobacco Bay, Clearwater Beach and other places of interest as well. Some beaches have showers and change facilities as well as snack vendors but most have few or no amenities. You're best to pack a picnic lunch (we supply things you might need like a cooler) or visit one of the area pubs or cafe's in the area...Swizzle Inn is popular on the South Shore for example. Nearly all of the grocery stores to excellent take-aways. We have beach towels, umbrellas and mats, etc. For a per day fee a number of hotels will let guests other than their own use their facilities including change rooms, showers, lounge chairs and even tennis courts, etc. (Southampton Princess, Elbow Beach Hotel, Coco Reef Hotel, etc.) You'll probably find that it's easiest to wear swim things with a 'cover-up'. It's probably easier if we help you with some of this, and show you on the map when you get here. With regard to cruise ship visitors, we post the schedule of ships calling and can advise you on when and where to go to the main attractions as well as how to find plenty of amazing places off the beaten path. Hope this helps!
See you soon,
Harry & Marlie
