Arrived early, but the boat was ready so we didn't have to hang around. The boat we had booked was under repair, so we were given an alternative, which had the same facilities as the one we had booked, but just with a slightly different...更多
Sir Ironside was very comfortable, we loved the stove and used it on several nights, even though the weather was so good. Great deisel engine, powerful enough to get us out of trouble, but also very quiet at cruising speed.

All in all a great week for a family of 4 (with 2 teenage sons).
We didn't get away quite as early as we'd hoped mainly due to a jam on the M5, and by the time we arrived there were a couple of groups...更多

Hi, what is the best route to take?? We have one week, starting from Brewood. Just wondering which routes pass the best places for provisions, and pubs??? any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Also, can anyone suggest which book to purchase? Thanks Sue

We went on the Sir Melleaus for a week, 3 weeks ago and did a vv in the direction of Chester. Made it to the castle on the hill. Very nice trip. Others may like to take the ring or go left to Wales and back. We have no... 更多

Others may like to take the ring or go left to Wales and back. We have no experience with other routes. Audlem is a good stop for provisions and books, pubs enough plenty on the canal.
