Well, where do I start. I found their website and the menu looked OK so I booked a table through their booking agent. Arrived and said that we had a table booked. We were asked to wait while they put the lights and air con on. We went into what they referred to as a restaurant, slight exaggeration , and they laid a paper tablecloth and condiments. A while later the "waiter" arrived with his notepad and said " fish and chips then "; we asked to look at the menu and he said we only have fish and chips. I said there were lots of choices on the website and he said that the website, that I had looked up 10 days previously, had not been running for ages so he could not understand it. We had fish and chips, very ordinary, and left.
Visited the Traveller’s Inn for a Sunday Lunch. We received a really warm welcome, and were made to feel as if we had been going there for years. The food was really good, and served on piping hot plates which is one of my main ‘likes’ I would recommend the Traveller’s Inn to anyone, and will definitely be returning.
Visited the Travellers Inn with friends, had a lovely meal and enjoyed the entertainment. Would recommend a visit. We are going again this week with family who are coming over, looking forward to it. Nice friendly people and nice atmosphere.
The Travellers offer a wide range of menu choices depending on what day you go. The traditional Sunday lunch was outstanding followed by live entertainment on the terrace outside. The owners are very welcoming and it seems to be frequented by a really nice bunch of people.
We stopped on the way to the Monestry restaurant. It’s right on the main road and easy to locate. A few english inside that were very chatty. Also run by english people. There’s an outside fly enclosure and and area that’s not. The area that’s not I’ve never ever seen so many flies on a table. I believe food is served here but we only had coffee.
