Is the hotel discriminating against families with children. they restrict guests to be min 10 years old. Shame.
Silks Club was specifically designed for adults, to provide our guests with elegant and leisure experience. Many of the design has certain risks for children, therefore, we decided to only accept guests over ten years old. Please understand our purpose and it was not an easy decision. We sincerely hope that you can arrange your own travel (or meal) plan and experience our service. We look forward to your visit.
There are tons of hotel out there, why make a fuzz about this handful hotel which want to cater the needs of travellers prefer a quieter environment not family friendly?
Pls don’t take it personal. Your kids might be adorable but it doesn’t change the fact that they could get loud sometimes. The hotel has sacrificed their revenue on family travellers with kids to provide an environment that I appreciate.
I am sure some parents have kids could understand, especially when some parents out there can only tolerate their own kids and will openly despise loud and misbehaving kids on the street.
If u have the money for silk, I am sure u have a lot of options. Pls embrace others, and gave us options that we couldn’t find elsewhere.
Thanks for the response. I have not been to a hotel elsewhere that restricts age of children. Would this be a first in the world.?Many very fine hotels in the US and Europe never have age restriction — they simply go a step further to design their buildings so that children won’t get hurt , while maintaining an excellent experience for adults. Not sure why this could not have been done. I enjoyed your other hotels on previous trips to Taiwan; this is a bit of a disappointment
