Such a idyllic location absolutely stunning beautiful views great walk up to lovely old church and around the harbour walls great pub Anchor Bleu to have good food and drinks in and lovely coffee shop on corner with great food selections
Few nice shops to browse in and ice cream parlour and just such a beautiful place to spend a few hours well recommend

Traveling with my mother, husband and 2 dogs. Beautiful, the surroundings are lovely, suitable for a relaxing day, walking, visiting a lovely town and the quaint sea atmosphere.

Bosham is a small village on the West Sussex coast as part of Chichester Harbour.
It really is a beautiful place to visit. The harbour itself is very attractive, whether the tide is in or out. The tides move in or out fast so you have to take this into account should you walk around the coast. Sometimes you might see a car which is in the sea where someone has parked near the water.
The houses are very attractive and you will see some have brickwork fitted to stop the sea entering the gardens.
The church is very attractive to see both outside and inside. The Anchor Bleu pub is also attractive and serves a good selection of meals as well as drinks.
Other cafes are available and the shopping centre has a very interesting selection of items to both look at or buy. There’s a very nice ice cream shop too.
There is also a sailing club here. Views over the sea can be beautiful in all directions.
A pay for car park is available in the village. There are toilets here too.

Our lunch stop to eat our picnic. Found the carpark easily and a short walk took us to the quayside. Lots to see both on the water with boats and wildlife; and on shore with beautiful buildings, work on boats etc. There is a nice green close to the church with benches just made for sitting with a picnic and watching the world, which is what we did.

A lovely place to visit. The only sad thing to see, were all the houses with amazing views sitting empty. It really sucks the heart out of a place.
We drove to Itchenor and took the ferry across to Bosham and walked to the village.
A great way to spend a day.

We've visited Bosham on several occasions as it is such a beautiful village with wonderful views and nice cafes and pubs.
However, when we visited yesterday, having walked from the train station, we found the toilets in the harbour car park were being refurbished. Replacement Portaloos had been placed adjacent to the aforesaid building. They were absolutely disgusting!
Surely a robust cleaning schedule should have been instituted as part of the lengthy refurbishment process. It is a long time since my wife and I have experienced such poor temporary facilities - nothing functioned, water, drying facilities etc etc.
The standard of so many temporary toilets is now extremely good but these would have made a seasoned festival goer feel sick.
Come on Bosham everything about your village is beautiful.....with one temporary but very very important exception.

Very picturesque location. Lovely cafe down at the waters edge. Dog friendly and helpful staff.

Mesmerizing, beautiful, location, even in the chill wind, but basking in the watery Spring sunshine. Enchanting rural views across the Bosham Channel. Unsurprisingly, there was hardly any other visitors, except for perhaps, the swans looking for a handout. It is a lovely walk around the Waterfront, and Bosham's small quay, past centuries old buildings, but we were always looking out the estuary. Two buildings stand out, the headquaters of the local sailing club at the Old Mill, wth its warning of not parking in crtain places due to flooding. The other building is the Raptackle. This grade 2 listed wooden barnlike building, dates from the C18th, when Bosham was an important small port, back then it was a formerly used as a commercial warehouse, and for the storage of sailing gear.
This is a lovely place to wander, and has a number of cafes and pubs just a few hundred yards away.

What quaint village to visit ... the tide floods the high-street twice a day so pick your visiting time carefully. It was interesting to see how the local architecture adapts to the location ... lots of the house doors start 2 foot above the road to prevent flooding. There are a couple of local shops, a few cafe's and a pub. The views out to the river are lovely.

Bosham located around 20 minute drive from Chichester. Great for a winter day visit but sure it’s mobbed in the summer. There is a fairly large pay display car park by the Quay with public toilets. Nice walk all around the bay with some great views. Few cafes and pubs to seek shelter on a day trip/visit.

Hi, can u walk round the fishbourne channel footpath from fishbourne 2 bosham 2 hours from high tide. Thanks , i asked this question before and i think someone answered it but i lost the answer so thought i would try again

Hi, as far as I am aware there is no path running along the Fishbourne Channel so you would have to use the road down to the Hoe. I maybe wrong, as you can make some ground northward towards Fishbourne from the Hoe but I do not know how much as there are a number of private houses with water fronts too.

Can you still walk around the perimeter of the Hoe even at high tide? ie get to the itchenor ferry from the village

I guess you could as long as you were aware of the tide. I didn't see any signs to say one can't launch from there.

Yes there is one - very popular and quite up-market hotel (the name escapes me) and the village has holiday lets and some B&Bs. I would imagine it gets booked up very quickly in high season and when there are events in the vicinity such as the Goodwood Festival of Speeed.

I use to visit Bosham many times when I stayed in Chichester with my partner, my started his Sailmaking firm in Boshom back in 1986 when I had two heart attacks and gave up my business, Helens a big sailing business in Chichester now,Jim now live in. Plymouth Devon,

I once bought a vw camper from the garage in Bosham, which the garage has gone now, I set up a Scout fellowship in Chichester back in early 2000s and helped out with the Scouts in the area, alas my partner died back in 2015 when. I returned to Plymouth
