喜歡看UNESCO的話，人生必到！婆羅浮屠上每幅石刻都不一樣，訴說著佛教故事。石刻保留良好，雕刻精細，圖案生動，叫人歎為觀止！
購買門票：參觀婆羅浮屠的門票分ground ticket和structure ticket。Ground ticket顧名思義，只在婆羅浮屠塔邊買周的地面欣賞，未能踏足建築物。而Structure ticket 則可在指定時段，於導帶領下登塔，而Structure ticket包括Ground ticket。婆羅浮屠於Covid後，每日由8:30am開始分8個時段（注意逢星期一不設登塔)，最多只供1,200人登塔，Structure ticket可以在官網訂購，但即使在較少遊客的十月份，8:30am及9:30am的Structure ticket也迅速被sold out，當地人表示大部分旅行社已壟斷早段的Structure ticket。另外，請留意一日遊旅行團包含的是那一款門票。
入園指引：我買了10:30am的Structure ticket，於網上購買門票後，參加登塔當天最好提早半小時到達入口，取籌拿實體門票，門票還包一雙拖鞋和一瓶水。於指定時間集合後便可以跟隨導遊登塔。雖然此時段又熱又曬，但導遊十分專業，講解清晰外，也會細心解答問題。婆羅浮屠很美，大約一小時的登塔之旅後，捨不得離開，但也滿足了。下塔後可以再在地面以不同角度欣賞婆羅浮屠。出入與入口位置不同，可以於公園內乘坐shuttle 前往出口。出口停車場的地方有大量紀念品店，記得議價。紀念品都大同小異，但這裡算是買紀念品的最佳地點。

各層的石雕，是有其釋迦摩尼佛的轉世故事，不管是雕功，抑或是保存的狀況，都比吳哥窟來得好，值得細細品味。由於，附近遮蔽物不多，不管是日曬或雨淋，都是對遊客的考驗。而且因遊客眾多，因此建議早早出門去觀賞，較好。

我們沒有付錢去看婆羅浮屠的日出，很慶幸我們沒有這樣做。天氣太潮濕了，陰天多雲，日出也就不是那麼壯觀了。我們去了附近的小山（不記得它的名字），花了5萬元進入，可以看到山谷和山脈的美景。它就在婆羅浮屠附近，所以我們在那之後就去了寺廟並以正常的價格購買了門票，並不如酒店宣傳的日出奇觀。那裡黃金時段的景色很漂亮，我絕對建議像我們那樣做。為看日出支出了那麼多錢，我非常失望，因為日出景色一點都不壯觀。

去婆羅浮屠寺看日出。在寺廟裡拍的照片太棒了。儘管是個陰天，但天空還是很美麗。有許多攝影點和背景，看起來像一幅畫。早上也沒有那麼冷。有一群人在念經，繞着佛塔走。不管多擁擠，遊客們都不會堵着他們的路。體驗在佛寺的寧靜優雅。

我們全家（兩個孩子分別為7歲和9歲）參加了Javanava Travelcafe組織的婆羅浮屠日落之旅，此次旅行有導遊陪同，美好極了。我們的司機超贊，帶我們穿過曼諾哈拉餐廳（ Manohara restaurant）附近的入口處直接入內参觀，從而避開了商店攤販，也不用漫步很久才抵達寺廟。事實上，穿過該入口處就直接進入寺廟底部。我們的導遊向我們講述了這座寺廟的起源、介紹了相關的佛教知識，從而讓這座寺廟變得更是迷人。我強烈推薦該日落之旅，因為這個觀光遊項目人群更少，午後的景色也更美，而且你若運氣很好的話，還能看到日落美景。我們找的旅行社（Javanava Travelcafe）也超贊，組織有序，員工友善。

來到這裏就能感受到它的神奇之處，我完全被這些宏偉壯觀的建築給迷住了。作為普通遊客，可搭乘公共汽車前往，到達場地后可以乘坐馬車或是騎自行車四處轉轉。這是一個多麼燦爛的文化啊。

婆羅浮屠的景色非常壯觀，在日出和日落時婆羅浮屠有不同的美景。我們在景點附近的Manhonara酒店購買了遊玩套票，買套票可以節約一些入園費並能欣賞夕陽和日出。婆羅浮屠是日惹最值得参觀的世界遺產之一，這裏的美好令人嘖嘖稱奇，至今難忘。

我們參加了日出之旅，得到了一位嚮導的服務，最後發現這是一個非常明智的選擇。他懂得很多，而且還是一位很棒的攝影師。這裏歷史悠久，這個地方本身就是一個展示人類適應力的絕佳代表作。這是一個必去之地。

Are you sure borobudur temple is a religious site?
My answer is No. It's the government gimmick to scam tourists around the world. BUDDHA statues without heads and limbs; it should be site for ancient bricks and stones. Don't be cheated by the Central Jawa government and people.

Hi all, you are advised to visit other places in ASEAN instead of Indonesia. BOROBUDUR is a BIG scam. Million rupiah gone by just visiting the meaningless ancient bricks and stones, supplemented with grieve, hatred, and ill-will. Human statues without heads and arms, corrupted central Jawa government and cunning central Jawa people, cheating and scamming tourists.

My husband and I would like to go to Borobudur temple on Sunday 14th, July. On the official website the tickets are sold out. Is there any chance to be able to enter the temple anyway? Can we go to the temple on that same day , doing the queue and paying for the ticket there?

Can you still climb Borobudur, and where do you get the tickets from? I’m looking at the Ticket Candi Borobudur Park website but every new date is automatically sold out? Looking to go on Sunday, September 17.

It is 150 people/hour maximum so it might be sold out. My suggestion is to contact a local travel agency (we did this at the hotel) they most certainly can get tickets. You might even ask the hotel personal directly to help you with this.
We found the money for the guide very well invested. He helped ud on location as well ( normally we never use guides).

Java Private Tour is the best choice, recommended by several embassies and have worked closely with Borobudur management, my experience while using the Java Private Tour service was quite good, and I was able to arrange all my activities in Borobudur, the very interesting thing is the Borobudur sunrise program and outdoor private picnics, about Java Private Tour You can search on Google, and I doubt about 500,000, but according to my experience the Java Private Tour price given is commensurate with the experience and excellent service I received.

Do you need separate ticket to climb the stairs at the temple? Is the general admission ticket timed?

Not so much a separate ticket, if I remember correctly you could buy either a ground only ticket, or a ground and temple ticket. The temple tour takes about an hour, after your free to stay in the grounds until closing time.

Is it possible to climb up to the temple monument now? I heard it was closed earlier this year

I visited last month and was able to climb to the top and walk around. Just that there is a daily restriction on no. of persons who can climb and you need to make it to the place at least by midday to make the cut. Otherwise, you can just visit the grounds instead..no pre-booking required for climbing the monument..

As of August 2022 it was not allowed to climb onto the temple monument at all. You can only walk around the base. I don’t think that will change anytime soon. You should have no problem walking around the base even with a minor handicap.
