Australia's Gold Coast is located in Queensland's southeastern region. The Gold Coast Fisherman's Cooperative can be found on the coast of this northern state. The Gold Coast is around an hour by vehicle from Brisbane, the Queensland State capital. The fish catch is significant, it's a good place to get some fresh fish. The Gold Coast is one of Australia's largest urban centers, it's a favorite Australian holiday destination.

These prawns are absolutely delicious and fresh. I am so glad we discovered the co op. Great prices for King prawns. What a beautiful lunch on the marina today. A romantic scooter ride from cavill to main beach.

Fresh and delicious prawns from the prawn boats. This place is on the water near Seaworld. The boats go out at night, weather permitting, and come back in around 7am when you can purchase them directly from the boats. I had read there was limited supply but we only went in the afternoon and one boat still had prawns for sale, the rest had shut shop. They sell until sold out. There were two size options $25/kg medium and $30 large. Either size they were huge! So yummy. Highly recommend this place if you love prawns.

Fresh fresh fresh great price of all sellers have same fresh prawns squid octopus and crabs get there early 7 am

Lovely, friendly service and prawns were so fresh. Highly recommend anyone wanting fresh or cooked prawns to head down .

Avoid this time of year. Really really slow service. It’s not unusual to queue for over an hour and they sell out. Angry frustrated people and chaos. Too stressful

Nothing bets buying fresh prawns straight off the trawler. Great experience, the people are friendly and the prawns are perfect.

These delicious prawns straight from the sea are the most delicious prawns you have ever tasted. Certainly worth a trip there. Wouldn’t buy prawns from anywhere else

When I read up on this I thought it was a large c o-op shop as photo showed the old building. I arrived before the recommended 7am to find long queues at each trawlers wharf & walked along to see what each had on their blackboards. as I only wanted small prawns & crabs..By the time I got to end of first line I was told "Sorry,sold out." Next choice was the same & so on,as they dont change the blackboards & apparently take orders & put them aside,as you see people getting items after you have been told sold out.
I was about to leave after seeing all boats when a new one came into dock.
I yelled out for crabs & got first in line & got what I wanted.They were fresh caught & proved to be delicious, although they were same price of $25 kilo as every other
seafood shop on the coast who also get their reserved stock from here or their own trawler I am told.
Great place to go if you have placed an order the day before ,or arrive 20 minutes earlier & try to be first in queue as many clubs & businesses place big orders & take most of the catch,particularly if bad weather or out of season.If you cant be bothered,just go to your local shop known for fresh products. as they will have a much greater variety also,plus oysters,lobsters,mussels etc

Freshly cooked. And ready to eat. Not frozen.. they sell raw ones to cook yourself also
