best views

The point offers best views and can be reached after getting down 50 steps . not much of shade though like Aurther point so gets hot in the sun in afternoon

Each view point has it's unique offering

Mahabaleshwar has several view points but each view point has it's own unique offering. What you get to see from Elphinstone point is a great view of Pratapgarh fort and valleys of river Koyna and Savitri. The cliffs looks majestic. The rivers were dry but their beds were clearly visible.

Good point, be careful with monkeys

This is very good point, however monkeys are very active over here, they can attack on your spaces or goggles. Be aware and do not offer any food to them. Overall a good point to visit in Mahabaleshwar.

The Place is like Elephant, The trunk is visible in the mountains, this place is one of the highest points in Mahabaleshwar. The place is amazing, nature has so many places where you can go and relax, this point is one of them.

Excellent point

I went early morning and there was mist and perfect view. Also the route to reach this point is perfect. Old Mahabaleshwar road through dense forest. I even saw deer on the way to this point.

Visit After The Rains

Generally this place is visited after the rains.
But still great view of the mountains all around.

Polluted. Crowded.

The point was crowded and polluted. There is litter thrown right off the railings just away from sight! The view would have been glorious BUT the polluted smog covered everything. So India s pollution woes carry on everywhere. I'm sure If Mahabaleswar had a Met. dept. The air quality index would be unhealthy. The only highlight is we got to see members of the Gaur (Indian Bison) family feeding about 100m away on the slopes. Unfortunately they too are listed as vulnerable by the IUCN Red list due to poaching, habitat destruction etc.

This is a nice place to visit you can see two no of Valley at a time. This is also Lush green valley & view from high altitude

A good view only if there is a clear visibility else it will be worth nothing. Best visit during the rainy season since dust particulate settles down.
