Great historical museum about the area. The hotel is in very good shape and lots of different rooms where you can see artifacts for the time period. Have a good movie to watch before exploring the museum. Cost is minimum.

Excellent museum, fascinating short video at the start, great tales of the history of Fort Stockton. Very friendly front desk lady pointed us round and narrated a little for us.

A must see if you are ever in Fort Stockton. This museum has tons of artifacts and history as well as antiques which had been well-curated for the period. Walking throughout the well-maintained adobe building, you almost feel like you are walking back in time. The museum staff was very friendly and even gave a free flag for Veteran's day. Well worth the time.

Nice stop - loads of history - beautiful courtyard - amazing thresholds. You get a real sense of what it was like to pass through this town way back when.

Touring all areas in the state of Texas big and small and found myself drawn to Fort Stockton, Texas. I've been to some impressive historical museums in the US including The Henry Ford and Smithsonian Museums. This museum had things I've never seen before. It had an interesting layout with each hotel room having a different emphasis on the history of Fort Stockton. The historical society put together a great collection and told an all encompassing story of the history for Fort Stockton. Great Museum and I'd say worth a drive off the beaten path of the larger Texas Cities.

We really enjoyed this. So many things to see as you walk through the museum. Historic furniture (I believe a lot was original to the hotel when in use). Really interesting stories of the families that lived there and about the community as a whole during that period.

My wife and I stayed in Fort Stockton for one night as a break point. We never heard of Annie Riggs and didn't expect too much from the museum. We were wrong. Annie Riggs was quite a woman in the wild west and this place is a very good tribute to her. It is chock full of antiques and items which depict what a visit to her hotel would have been like. Each room has quite a number of surprises and the overall all museum is very impressive. Be sure to watch the film before going into the museum. This is well worth visiting.

This was early cowboy days in Texas! Rugged place to live. Be sure to watch short film in museum before touring it. There are antiques in the rooms. Interesting history of Annie Riggs. Out of the way place but a good stop if your'e there. The tickets were only $2.50 for seniors and vets are free. Adult tickets were $3.

Annie Riggs was married twice and divorced twice - in an age where you just did not get a divorce. She had 10 children. But her greatest accomplishment was running a thriving hotel in Fort Stockton. This museum is full of the history of the southwestern part of Texas - from cattle to gunfighters to oil men. It shows fueds, political unrest, and just plain cowboy justice.

Interesting Museum - watched the short video in the 1st room and visited the various room exhibits. There was an interesting barb wire exhibit. Also the kitchen exhibit was one of the best I've seen. Reasonable priced.
