It was a bit of a detour but well worth it. A great cafe /restaurant is at the entry. It has a small menu all of which is seasonal and delicious. The gardens are extensive and beautiful, making for a relaxing and refreshing stroll.

Garden’s sensational but glamping very dissatisfying especially given the cost $475 per night. Tents wet, dirty and smelly , mould 10cm from your pillow - see pictures Tents so close together that absolutely no privacy or sleep. No cancellation means paying a second night/ normally you would get a refund if your hotel was this dirty.. Save your money and stay elsewhere- . If a motel charging this was this unclean you would leave.second night fellow guests even worse than first running throughout gardens screaming and partying until 2:30 am. Would never stay again.Bitterly disappointed as it was supposed to be a treat away.

These Gardens were absolutely outstanding and would be of world class standard, an absolute golden experience to tour the grounds and exhibits.
Well laid out grounds with easy access to all displays and everything was well presented and in top order. Huge numbers of different plants, tress, bushes, flowers and everything to do with gardens.
Plenty of areas to take a seat and reflect on what is there along with well maintained paths. Allow at least two - three hours to see everything.
All in all, an outstanding experience and is Highly Recommended.

It is lovely for what we saw, but only able to view a quarter of the gardens, as too many steps. It is not friendly to people who have mobility issues. Asked if there was a shuttle bus or cart for those who cannot walk far but was told "No". It is expensive at $33 per pensioner. So would only recommend to young and fit persons.

What a fantastic garden. Well worth your time to go & visit. We arrived & had breakfast before visiting the garden. Garden covers a lot of area & has many different areas. Even has a maze. Has a nice cafe/restaurant & gift shop for extra goodies.
The main garden as you enter is the most colourful and is very gorgeous. However, the other areas are still interesting to see. My wife & I spent approx. 3 hours walking around enjoying every centimetre of the garden. My wife said this is the best garden that she has seen.

Pathetic doesnt quite describe it.
The facility is beautiful but thats about it.
Even the most basic places have signages but this place which is spread over a sprawling area, has extremely poor signages. We wanted to visit the maze but we went around in a maze at the very beginning of the facility. We kept moving around three spots - the Obelix, The Water Garden and the Grotto. It was like a maze walking around these three spots. The signages were so poor to be non-existent. And what little signage was there was sending us back to the one of the three places mentioned above. Worse, there was no one to ask for directions.
One of the worst tourist experience we have had.
Please aviod this place.

We went Oct 18/19 2024. We went glamping, but it is really camping. It is very basic. The whole package is very pricey for what you get is probably $150 - $200 too much. The dinner & breakfast are OK, but nothing to write home about. Our experience was married by some yobs talking loudly in the common area until 10pm. It is a bad idea to have a common area metres away from the tents. Even when they left it was v hard to sleep. So don't expect to get much sleep. However, the gardens are fantastic, probably unique in Australia. If I went again I would stay in a hotel in Oberon and visit the garden during the day.

We visited this garden and it is a beautifully set out garden. However it is set up a fairly steep slope although the paths are graded but still a climb. Our biggest complaint was that there were a distinct lack of seats for people to rest on. The day we went there were a lot of people over 60+ and many of them including ourselves were struggling with the slopes etc. There is no form of mobility car on offer although when we enquired about it we were told that there was one but you needed to book it two days in advance for a 90 minute tour. We feel that they need to look at providing this kind of service to people with mobility issues as there is a long walk in from the ticket office to the actual gardens. We would not recommend this garden to anyone who has problems walking long distances and has mobility problems as there is very little seating or mobility aids around the garden.

Magnificent Landscaping & Gardens inside but with about 5,000 visitors & about 10 or so Double Rows of Carparks was great till some “Eisenstein‘s”
decided to create 3 rows of cars causing 20 odd vehicles in the middle row to be boxed in for hours unless you were lucky enough to have a 3.5 Tonne 4WD with a Bull Bar👍😀

I just visited on a very wet day. Their website says:
DOG-FRIENDLY
Mayfield is dog-friendly! But please note, your furry friend must be kept on a leash at all times and guided by you. We provide doggy bowls at the Cafe, but you must bring your doggy bags.

How can I get from Katoomba to Mayfield Garden - I don't have a car.
Or from Mt Victoria to Mayfield Garden.
發表日期:2018年10月25日
Hi Lisa,
Travelling on your own without a car, you can take the Mount Victoria Coach to Oberon and then from their take a Taxi to Mayfield. However, you can take a tour with Fantastic Aussie Tours which includes scenic drive with full commentary from Katoomba. Your ticket with Fantastic Aussie Tours includes your entry to Mayfield Garden and lunch.
See you at Mayfield!

Sorry for the late reply, but we are glad to say that there are still some Autumn colours left at Mayfield even as we are closing out the month of May. If you haven't been to see us yet, come soon to catch the Autumn colours before we move into our Winter blooms.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Mayfield Garden Centre is equipt with disability parking and toilets, with no stairs to navigate. During Spring and Autumn festival periods, we offer complimentary hop-on-hop-off buss allowing our visitors navigate the garden.
Over the past 12 months, we have been researching and investing in making Mayfield Garden even more mobile friendly. Our new section, the Camellia Walk is currently under construction and will be completed in August 2018. The Camellia Walk provides a path to all of Mayfield Garden with greater ease.

How much does it cost for one visit? Do I need to book tickets online/over the phone or can I just arrive and pay?
發表日期:2017年6月1日
Thank you for your interest in Mayfield. Tickets are available from our Nursery Garden Ticket Office on Site, but during Festivals, we recommend booking tickets in advance. There is more information on our website and Eventbrite.

Where can i go after visiting mayfield gardens? Is there any other places we can go after that? Is winter a right time to visit?
發表日期:2016年6月3日
There are many wonderful tourist attractions open year 'round near Mayfield. Jenolan Caves is a must-see experience and they are just around the corner. We're also nestled between the Blue Mountains, Oberon and Bathurst, all three have wonderful tourist attractions on offer. Our Winter Festival, partnered with Bathurst Council, is right around the corner during July School Holidays. We will be offering free entry to the Nursery Garden where we will be hosting the first ever Mayfield Curling Event and Complementary S'More Station in our Wood Fire Garden. For more information, see our website and Facebook Events Page. There are also more details on what's "Beyond Mayfield" on our website so you can plan to see many attractions during your visit to the Central West and Blue Mountains Regions.
