The venue has temporarily closed its doors to enable a major refurbishment suitable for the 21st century. Due to reopen in 2022 I think.

We visited Ferneham Hall for the Christmas Panto of Beauty and the Beast. What an absolute blast from start to finish, the production was top class . We had Family visiting over the Christmas holiday so we treated them to this fantastic Panto (4 adults, 2 Grandchildren )
It surely was a fine way to sign off for all the Staff as the place is up for a refurb in Jan
So see you again for the next one .....

My husband and I took our 2 grandaughters their parents and auntie to see the panto. The whole experience was wonderful. Every member of staff were so helpful and polite. The panto was superb...knocked spots off Kings theatre. I understand Ferneham Hall is closing for a while to have a refurbishment...we will be back when it reopens.

Yet again the Collingwood Royal Marine Band wowed us again with a faultless performance featuring, movie medleys, jazz, classical, marches, big bands and corps of drums.
Parking is not an issue here as the hall is catered for by 2 close open air car parks and a large multi story. Access is easy and the bar seating is spread throughout the various rooms.
The auditorium is bright and airy with good views of the stage from every seat.
Acoustics are good and the sets comfortable. Will definately visit again.

There is no getting around it, Fernham Hall is dated, drab, the seating is cramped and on a couple of occasions I have been there it has resembled a 3rd rate social club.
The show itself with Jethro was at best described as tired. The jokes no better or for that matter current than you would hear in your average playground, and the Cornish charm with which it has historically been delivered is waning.
I've worked with several performers of that generation and some actually in Fernham Hall and one thing I have learned is they are peddling old rope for money, and Jethros performance is no difference.
Havent seen in him in years, but I knew the punch line to 95% of the jokes peddled, many delivered better by the lads on a building site who don't get paid for their time.
The support, warm up, hole plugging karaoke singer is somewhat incongruous to the comedic performance. It didn't fit save for the whole thing would have fitted in nicely to some tired old social club nicely. His voice wasn't bad, but by the same token it was pub singer ish, and the vocal style didn't fit the choice of songs. You cant gravel voice your way through a ballad like Angry Anderson (yeah that cheese monkey) and then hope to pull off a tune from a Musical with the same gravelly tones. it just doesn't work.
Hats off to Jethro, at least at 71 years old he isn't a burden on the welfare state and still working, but like all products the performance as is has a shelf life and I would say it is about as limited as the longevity of life of the majority of his audience on the night.
In a word...….it was tragic.
Back to Fernham Hall, it like most of Fareham would benefit from a change of councillors, a modern outlook on the town and some drive to change it rather than slowly allow it to die. Design something modern that will pull in the business there is a Charity Theatre in Titchfield that does more business than Fernham Hall and it doesnt have a fraction of the Fareham Borough Council funds.
Could do and could be much much much better.

Came to see Cinderella in panto with my children and they loved it we love the venue as a whole as the staff are always happy and friendly and always willing to help with everybodys enquires or helping find their seats I use this venue all the time for different shows so I’ll miss it when it closes I love the place that much I’ve already got loads of tickets booked for loads of shows coming this year can’t wait to be back again later this month

We went to see Cinderella this afternoon with four generations of family. It was an excellent show for all ages definitely well worth going. All the cast were very good personally Buttons was our favourite but the very Ugly and extremely funny Sisters. Prince Charming Cinderella and the rest of the cast were brilliant. The young dancers were equally as good and all looked as though they were enjoying the show as much as the audience.

Considered kings Theatre for Panto, but was put off by the price. Instead chose Cinderella at Ferneham Hall which was almost half the price. I’m so glad we did. The show was absolutely fantastic. Modern songs to keep my 6yo entertained. Very well put together and entertaining from start to finish. I couldn’t recommend this show more. In addition parking was a breeze!

Another good night at this local venue for a variety of acts. Ample parking close by with a small area outside the hall and much more in the multi story just up Grove Road.
The small bar/cafe was well staffed and stocked with a great selection of hot and cold drinks. Alcoholic and not. Sandwiches were also available. The volunteer staff were as usual attentive and friendly.
This show was Roy Wood and he provided the expected magic to rock the audience, despite his cold, and ageing vocals.
The support was Dan from Wolverhampton who played his set with confidence and a wonderful command of the guitar.
A great night and tunes to remember and retain for another 40 years.

Went to see one night of queen at ferneham Hall on 5/10 /2018.I have seen this group before so this is the third time, but my two friends haven't seen it. The bar is a little slow to get served but you can preorder drinks with booking. The attendees showed us to our seats we where near the stage and we where dancing straight away. One complaint a rather snobby small lady told us off saying we where blocking the gang way and would we go and dance down the side of stage we where annoyed as one if someone wanted to get passed or in a wheelchair we would of moved back anyhow. So with much annoyance we pick our bags and jackets and reluctantly moved there was empty seats at front. The band was amazing the singer Gary mullen was the guy who won stars in your eyes as Freddie Mercury he is amazing does all the moves sounds like Freddie the audience apart from us where sat down he told them get up off seats sing, dance as well you could be sat at home in your seats. He was rly funny too. We had an amazing time, best queen tribute I have ever seen and my friends said great choice we loved them the band our fantastic musician as well. The parking is small but parking nearby and multistorey next door to venue. They have some great acts there well worth a visit.
