A lovely landmark with lots of history. Reading the information board it tells you the town has stood here since Doomsday times. The lovely market square was used to hang people in the middle ages. It's a real piece of history and culture.

An interesting building which clearly has a lot going on. The most immediately striking feature is probably the Victorian stained glass windows but there are other things worth searching out, from the displays to the older parts of the fabric. They claim to be open every day of the year, so there is no excuse if you are in town.

Decided to pop in when I was on one of my tproadtrips.
Everything about the church is really welcoming and well worth the visit.

Ciudad tranquila, bien equipada y con fácil accceso a Bury, New Market y Cambridge.

This place has a terrific history, which is well documented with various displays and brochures. The dimensions of the church are amazing for such a small town with it measuring 168 feet long & 65 feet wide, reflecting the historic wealth of the area. Parts of the church date back to 1220 and there are some wonderful features to view, namely The Angel Roof, which is probably one of the finest in the country. Carvings on the end of the pews in very intricate. The congregation have also put together a display that takes you through the centuries, giving details of the town, church & monarchy at the time, which is very well done & interesting.
There is no entry fee but donations are always welcome. normally closes at about 4.00p.m. each day.
Behind the church is a row of Almshouses dating back to 1722 but fully renovated in 1976 & then updated with local support in 2008.
A wonderful church & well worth a visit.

Tons of events going on for all ages! You will feel very comfortable and welcomed, but not too much in your face. This is a lovely place to worship!

St Mary's has enormous historical significance to the town of Mildenhall and the Church of England.
It has reasonable opening hours and the traveller should avail themselves of the Guide available which depicts, among other insights - the iron arrows still imbedded in the wooden angels in the rafters.
