Charming place. There is a good descent and then climb by narrow road and great slope, but the place is worth it. Admission costs 2€ but the place is worth it, both for its setting and its views. That should be better monitored and preserved.

Old monastery section. It cannot be accessed by private vehicle, there is a shuttle bus from the nearest town. It is a beautiful environment. Admission costs €2, but there is service. Beautiful church and old complex.

It is a very beautiful place but access on foot along the path is not very suitable for children and elderly or people with difficulties. To access it properly you have to reserve a bus that you catch at the town hall. Finally, the route should be better advised because it says it can be done but it was a bit difficult for us.

Monasterio entre bosques y montañas, fácil acceso coche o bus lanzadera. Apto para niños. Confluencia con varios senderos para hacer treking. Romanico muy interesante. Sombras, no hay servicios. Si wc en la oficina de turismo.

Situado en un enclave espiritual, merece la pena la visita y el paraje. Se llega facilmente si vas fuera de temporada y puedes disfrutarlo mejor porque hay poca gente visitándolo

Un monasterio con claustro muy diferente a los otros. En un entorno único.
Mirar bien los horarios de visita. Tienen aún que restaurar gran parte pero es de una belleza especial.

El monasterio benedictino de Santa Cristina de Ribas de Sil está situado en Parada del Sil. Está enclavado en un paraje a la orilla del río Sil, en el castañar de Merilán, por debajo del monte Varona, en la parroquia de Cagide. Su templo, uno de los mejores ejemplos del románico rural gallego, se realizó entre los siglos XII y XIII. Actualmente está en desuso. La visita es muy interesante, y las vistas espectaculares.

Espectacular enclave misterioso, monasterio románico 1ue aunque en invierno cierra se puede visitar el claustro y las partes interiores aunque no se pueda entrar al templo. El monasterio es precioso y el enclave muy misterioso. Parada imprescindible en la Ribeira Sacra
