We were in Tagaytay with family friends on Mon, Jun 5, and after a shoe emergency stop at Ayala Malls Serin post-lunch, we continued our DIY day visit by heading to Tierra De Maria. It was raining when our rental van driver dropped us off at the gates so I only took a couple of photos of the huge Mother Mary statues outside before we all rushed indoors. The non air-conditioned chapel is small but there were not a lot of visitors at the time so we got to look around, take photos, say a quick prayer and sit quietly. My friend even wrote prayer-wishes to drop inside the wish box. Instead of an altar, there is a life-size crucifix at the front. There are many other religious statues inside, properly identified, with laminated prayers in English next to them. There is a store beside the chapel which sells religious gifts such as rosaries, cross necklaces, figurines, etc. We only stayed here for 30 mins.

If you are religious and I am the shrine is quite nice and a break from the hectivity of the human world. Filipinos are quite religious and there are so many shrines to the Holy Mother in this country. It is a nice break from the bad traffic and roads of the country but the roads here are not bad at all - more like rural America but the drivers are the problem.

I have been to this place twice. When I visited I enjoyed the serenity of the place. Unfortunately my second visit is a disappointment. As a Catholic and if we do understand our faith, it should not be mingled with some HIndu belief. There is this thing in one corner that catches my attention and they are selling it. I sent a pm to their FB page seen only and no reply.

Before going home, we decided to have a quick visit. People are praying all over the place but still it is quiet enough for you to meditate and have your own prayer be done.

Whenever we think of doing a Visita Iglesia in Tagaytay, this church always makes it to the list. It's easy to locate, however since it is along the road, parking is hard. The church is always jam packed during Holy Week!

Ho chiesto al driver di fiducia J.R. di portarmi in giro a vedere posti caratteristici a Tagaytay.
Mi ha portato in questo posto para-religioso vicino al Picnic Grove.
C'è un piccolo cortile sovrastato da una grande statua della Madonna da dove si accede ad una sala di medie dimensioni piena di cristi, madonne e soprattutto cassette per le elemosine.
Tanta gente che va e viene, si siede sulle panche, si piazza di fronte ad una statua e tocca un particolare concentrandosi in preghiera.
Insomma, non è una chiesa, ma un luogo di culto popolare ben frequentato.
Mi ha portato in questo posto para-religioso vicino al Picnic Grove.

This a key church in Tagaytay where many locals go to pray to Mary for help in all aspects of their life. As a tourist the site is small but the statues are beautiful and well worth the visut.

Located near People’s Park, easy to locate with limited to no parking space. You can see everything in less than 10 minutes but the experience is worth more than that. The place is very solemn and visitors observe silence. My favorite spot is where the forgiveness cross is sitting, what a wonderful feeling to pray and just put your heart out to God. Before leaving, don't forget to pick a small piece of paper in the basket near the door, a little food for thought to read taken from Bible scriptures.

The place is quite small and no chapel nearby. You can stop and offer prayers by lighting candles. Parking is not available.

Malapit lang yan sa Picnic Grove.
Bago dumating ng Picnic Grove, madadaanan mo yan.
Sakay ka ng Jeep pa Tagaytay (Meron sa may Palengke sa likod ng Unitop)
27 pesos ata pamasahe. di ako sure eh.
tas baba nalang kayo sa terminal ng tagaytay. pwede na kayong magtanong kung anong sasakyan nyo sa terminal.
mas mura ang jeep kesa sa trike.
pero pwede naman kayong magspecial trip sa trike kung madami kayo.
