Compact and walkable park. The park is a mix of captive animal enclosures and trails through thick rainforest. The paths are in good condition but with some hills. The enclosures and structures are creative and fit in with the natural environment. We did a self-guided day walk in the rain, where we had the park almost all to ourselves. There was a staff member in the frog and snake exhibits, who was very helpful to spot the well-hidden animals. Our favourite part of the park was the crocodile pond, with four handsome crocs. They have some good shelters here, so we spent 45 minutes in the rain, watching the crocs and discovering birds hidden in plain sight. This best sighting was two very cool boat-billed heron, snoozing the day away. The self-guided tour is a good experience, but a guided tour would be best.

Se esforzó, pero le costó.
Nuestro guía era muy simpático, pero lamentablemente no mucho más. Era muy inexperta y no tenía realmente un conocimiento profundo sobre los seres vivos y la naturaleza. En este aspecto, fue bastante decepcionante.
Aun así, fue un bonito paseo con algunas impresiones. Desde nuestro punto de vista, no valió la pena el dinero.

Unser Guide war zwar sehr sympathisch, mehr jedoch leider nicht. Sie war sehr unerfahren und hatte nichr wirklich ein profundes Wissen über die Lebewesen und Natur. In dieser Hinsicht leider sehr enttäuschend. Trotzdem, ein hübscher Spatziergang mit einigen Eindrücken. Das Geld war es aus unserer Sicht nicht Wert.

Still, it was a nice walk with some impressions. From our point of view, it wasn’t worth the money.

This was such a unique experience and fun if you like to be a little scared. It was very dark on the privately-owned property, with many things to see, using the flashlights they provided. Most of the frogs were found by our guide, Alejandro, and some of the other animals (like the seldom-seen kinkajou) was found by our daughter. I'd recommend this tour for active and fearless individuals over the age of 6.

This night walk was awesome! Definitely the highlight of our time in the area. We did this walk with our 4 and 6 year old kids who loved it! It was engaging from start to finish with so mu h wildlife to see. We saw several different kinds of frogs of all sizes and colours, lizards, tons of cool bugs, and learned about some of the other wildlife in the area. Our guide, Roy, was great and was very patient with our not so patient 4 year old :) I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you have kiddos with you!

My husband and I booked the night tour and it was great! We saw many animals, including several types of frogs, toads, lizards, pacas and insects! We did not see snakes so our guide Alejandro went above and beyond to take us to the snake garden - Alejandro was very knowledgeable and you can tell he is passionate about his work! I highly recommend this tour - and Alejandro!

The butterfly garden and frog and snake displays were fantastic! We could never have spotted the frogs without the guide,MSO despite her limited English we really appreciated her input! The rest of the park was pretty tired looking, and no sloths or monkeys to be seen. Good place to see a few crocs and an alligator and a few turtles though. We were fascinated by several convoys of leaf-cutter ants along the nature trail.

One of the biggest disappointments in Costa Rica! It could have already discouraged us that they only accept dollars, and when paying 88 dollars, they don’t have change for 100 dollars. Although this wasn’t an entirely unsolvable issue, the real problem arises when you pay 88 dollars and see only about 10 butterflies. ☹️ It felt like quite a scam to me. 🤔 The only redeeming part was the goose with goslings, but when you visit a butterfly house, that’s really not enough. 🤦🏼♂️ I definitely do not recommend this place. The entrance fee is 22 dollars per person, and you really see nothing.

Interesting trip up there from Puntarenas you get a feel for the area. Problem was it was more like a zoo with animals in large cages. Very few in the wild. Second the guide did the best she could but with about 40 people and no microphone many could not hear

Hola, me gustaría saber si para visitar el parque es necesario hacer una reservación o se acude directamente al parque sin necesidad de esta. Gracias!!

Estimada Sofía pueden venir directamente en el día y tomar el pase del día llamado Natura Premium.
Abrimos de 8:00am hasta las 8:00pm, la ultima entrada de Natura Premium es a las 4:00pm pueden entrar con guía o sin guía, luego a las 6:00pm empieza la caminata nocturna donde exploran la montaña internándose en las profundidades de la selva tropical siempre en compañía de un guía que les llevará por una experiencia llena de una mística naturaleza.

8 am to 4 pm in the Natura Tour Premium you can do the activity at any time, Tour for the night's is better to make reservation.

Hello dear, Currently our tours are guided only, actually in the day the Natura Premium Tour is $29 USD per person, in the Night Walk tour is $39 USD per person, if you have other question please contact us!

Unfortunately we are an Ecological Park specialized in amphibians and reptiles from Costa Rica where we offered guided tours which take about 1:30 minutes the Day Tours and 2 hours the night hike.
