我主要是去看奧入瀨溪的，但是因為冬季，許多景點看不到，所以包的計程車時間還很多，就去十和田湖看一看。沒想到沒有遊客的冬季，十和田湖竟然美的跟一幅畫一樣，景色絕對不輸奧地利的奧修塔特小鎮。我真是撿到寶了，無心插柳柳成蔭，幾乎包場了整個十和田湖的景色。我要悄悄地告訴大家，冬天來雖然比較不方便，但對於愛好自然絕美景觀者，保証值回票價。我給它冬季的景色5顆星98分評價。

觀光客意外的不多，安靜優雅的湖區，登上展望台可以一覽湖光水色，夏季呈現藍色湖面。夏天陽光很強，秋天遊湖似乎是很好的選擇。

湖面出乎意料之外寬廣的十和田湖

自然景觀的十和田湖， 在海拔440公尺的高山上， 水質透明度很好， 湖光山色讓人通體舒暢。 美景盡收眼底！ 往前走還能看到乙女銅像是雕刻家高村光太郎的作品。

跨越青森和秋田縣之間的十和田湖，是在十和田火山噴發後所形成，奧入瀨川從十和田湖流出，長約 14 公里, 是一條很舒適的行山徑。十和田湖隨著季節變化展現不同的風貌，0月中至10月底最佳賞楓時期。

來到東北地方旅遊，很難遺漏這座十和田湖，與奧入瀨溪流串連在一起，是一條黃金的觀光走道，前往方式十分輕鬆，JR巴士是最好選擇，從青森或八戶出發，要注意的是冬天沒有開到十和田湖。
我的遊覽方式是奧入瀨溪流健行到子之口後，改成坐觀光船，坐船遊湖，是個很不錯的選擇，遊覽船同樣冬天不營業，從子之口坐到休屋，一趟50分鐘不回頭的旅程，事實證明這很值得，在湖中見到的景色跟在湖畔就是不同，有山、有水、有綠意。
遺憾的是在靠近休屋時天氣越來越糟，簡直就是風雲變色，沒料到這座內陸湖泊有這種兇猛時刻，也算是不錯的經驗，而那在十和田湖旁最熱鬧的休屋，出乎意料的十分冷清，可能還沒到旺季。
整體來說，來到這裡，可以安排很完整的旅程，十和田湖加奧入瀨溪流，請注意不要當天來回，那太累了，至少也在這住一晚吧！

I am planning to get to Lake Towada this winter (January 2018) but read about JR Tohoku bus service from Aomori to Lake Towada is suspended during winter.
May I know what other alternatives do I have to get to Lake Towada during early January 2018?
Also it is recommended that I stay overnight here or is a day trip enough? The travel time seems to be long from Aomori station and I am wondering whether maybe it would be better to stay overnight.

Just to answer this question myself since I've made the trip, there is no public transportation to Lake Towada during winter. The only time there is public transportation to Lake Towada during winter is only during the Lake Towada Winter Tale Festival event and there is very limited access.
Bus will only bring you up to sukayu onsen. Alternatively the hotel/resorts there will have a bus to their hotel but you need to be a guests staying there and requires reservation.

1. The exact location of the bus stop is JR Hachinohe Station West exit, Platform 1.
2. Hotel mets is directly connected with JR Hachinohe Station.

how do i book the bus from Aomori station to Lake Towada? do i have to book at Aomori station only?
on my arrival, ill be heading to Hakodate for some days, then take a early morning train to Aomori station tomcatch the bus. can I book the bus ticket in Hakodate? or can i book it online?

Hi ! Everyone, please advice.
I've planned to visit "Lake Towada Winter Story" in Feb, I also booked the accommodation there one night, my plan is from Aomori to Towadako.
Unfortunately, just find out that JR bus is temporarily suspend during winter.
I'd like to ask
1. I read from last few year, somebody said JR bus still operate during winter but just a few per day, how about this year? and how about its timetable?
2. From its website, there is Hirosaki/Towada Shuttle Bus departing at 8:30 from JR Hirosaki Station Joto Exit and how about the returning trip - what time to return to JR station?
3. Is there any other alternative transport ?
