I’ve spent many months in thailand and have trained in numerous gyms in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket.
I chose to visit Ruthless because it was a short walk from where my wife and i was staying in Patong.
And I chose to do private lessons with Sek to specifically work on my technique.
And wow. Some of the best—if not the best—training I’ve done.
Sek is an experienced fighter with 300 fights under his belt. And he’s a great instructor as well. He’s also a great guy who speaks English well by Thai standards.
If you’re interested in taking your muay thai to the next level, I highly recommend booking some private lessons with Sek. Can’t speak to the skill of the other trainers.
The group class is good as well. If it’s low season, you’ll get a lot of personal instruction due to low number of people. But don’t expect your technique to progress as fast as with private lessons.
Definitely don’t feel the need to travel all the way to Tiger Muay Thai if you’re close to Ruthless. Don’t get turned off by the name. The instructors there, especially Sek, are all heart.

I remember this was one of the first new muay thai gyms I've went to in awhile and I was apprehensive because I would be both out of my comfort zone at a new gym but back to some muay thai. I was only there a short while but the trainers and their owners were immensely kind. The technique they had was amazing and if you want to fight there are always opportunities about if you are willing to put in the work for them.
The gym is Patong, just a 10 minute walk from the beach, you can train hard and party hard if you so choose and after a good session you can go for a swim (I usually just went to sleep). I don't know when I will be back in Thailand but when I do I want to come back hear and fight for Ruthless. If you want a traditional muay thai gym, that is just muay thai and hasn't been completely Westernized then this is definitely one you should take a look at.

Этот зал нам понравился сразу и мы видели о нём сюжет на YouTube. Тренеры классные, всё показывают, объясняют работают с каждым учеником. Оборудование в отличном состоянии. У нас была смешанная группа - новички, полупрофы, мужчины, женщины - все из разных стран. На тренировке было 2-3 тренера. У каждого их них за плечами сотни боёв.
Хотим приехать туда в спорт лагерь. Советую 100%!

My boyfriend absolutely adored this place. I think he went about 6 times in our trip! It's hard to explain how the guys made you feel, you're part of the family as soon as you step foot inside. It's clear to see they are all incredible fighters. They love fighting and they love teaching it too. They were also very professional and made sure plenty of stretching was done. The prices are so reasonable too. I'm just gutted I didn't try it!!
