很值得一去，我們當時來領養了4頭小象，我們會時常關注着他的動態。而且Karry還去過，我們覺得正能量要傳遞下去！

They sell things very expensive. I remember that the jacket is 45 dollars. A very normal one. A braclet is 1800 kes. By the way when i asked what it was made of, the staff was like”what? “ and said i had no idea. Thats was very impolite. There is a white woman charges the entry fee, she has one attitude not friendly, its like that she is tired of her job and explaining things.
For me, it’s totally comercial. Not educational at all. Most of ppl just went there coz its a touristic site. Ppl were noisy, kids screaming, I don’t know how would those baby elephants think of that!
I am also not sure how they manage all the money.

太商業化了，我不喜歡。某些工作人員只在意賣出去多少東西，他們賣的東西很普通但是很貴。 總的來說工作人員沒有在怎麼保護它們的角度多下功夫，或者說全程你體會不到教育意義，沒有人跟你解釋說明。感覺非常不好。

透過生動的介紹了解到此保育中心對於野生動物保育的努力，深刻的讓我們得知保育的重要性，在這裡可以近距離的觀看大象寶寶或者到2樓平台欣賞象寶寶餵食的可愛模樣，位於入口不遠處有領養象寶寶的簡單櫃台，非常容易又方便的領養一頭屬於自己的大象寶寶，非常值得。

我和我的未婚夫這個月來過這裏，雖然很失望我們不能離大象更近一點（只能在柵欄後面），但我們聽了一段有趣的、增長見識的談話，那裡的其中一個飼養員給我們進行了全程的講解。我們看到小象寶寶們被用奶瓶餵食，還在泥巴里玩耍以保持涼爽。我們甚至在它們靠近的時候觸摸到了它們的皮膚！他們在這裏所做的工作令人驚嘆，肯尼亞很幸運能夠獲得這樣一種信任，即拯救那些本來無法存活的動物。價格也非常優惠，只要500肯尼亞先令！

這個地方是如此的純潔和充滿愛。我妻子和女兒玩得很開心。他們帶來了2組幼象，總共20隻。這些大象在泥地里玩耍，喝牛奶，吃灌木，就在我們面前玩耍。我們碰了一隻小象，就想收養她，於是就這麼做了，她的名字叫恩克莎（有史以來最好的感覺）。大象是如此敏感，像人類一樣需要愛。我希望人們停止偷獵，讓這些美麗的生物活下來。無論如何，要計劃好在上午10:30-11:00到達那裡，在前面找到一個好位置。超贊的經歷。一定會再來看看。

The viewing platforms are great and it’s easy to see. You’re there for a while as well so people move around and I found they were generally polite. Sometimes the elephants pick up the hose and play with it -so be prepared to be squirted! Great fun!

Absolutely not. It's nothing like a zoo. You're only allowed to enter one area for one hour to see the baby elephants. There's no cages or bars like a zoo. It's a magical experience.

At what age can an orphaned baby elephant be released back into the wild?

In East Tsavo national park, , many orphaned young elephants live in the Sheldrick wildlife rescue center. They arrive here when they are 3-years old.
At about 10-years old (but it may be More), these orphaned rescued elephants leave the center, either with other orphaned elephants of their group or with a group of wild elephants that that have chosen to follow.
The team of Sheldrick rescue center closely check that these elephants, who have chosen to leave the rescue center are healthy.

Hi,
Yes, It's still open daily for an hour between 11AM to 12, which is feeding time you get to watch the elephant enjoy their milk and play in the mud etc.
As far as I know they're only closed on Christmas day, open all year round.

Hi! Do you know if I can book a private visit (3pm) more than a year in advance (for July 2021) or do they begin allowing bookings a year from the date requested or how does it work? I’m worried I won’t find space.

Stephen is incorrect. There are private tours. I did one. Not sure how far in advance you can book though. I'd recommend reaching out to them to ask. They are extremely helpful.

Hi, We have just been to Kenya in November. We booked our next trip for 2022. I know it is a long time till then. But we would like to do a private visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust too. How do we book it? Any recommendation? Thank you.

Don’t you just love Kenya!! We have fosters that we support every year, we did however have our guide to arrange a private tour! I do not know if we were charged , but more than likely. But let me say it is totally worth it. The experience of having the babies come in for feeding is just amazing!! Lots of photo opps! Peter was our guide at David Sheldrick Nursery. I would suggest to reach out to the Trust and see what the requirements are, they are most accommodating. DSWT is the one organization I will always support! Good luck, two years out is not a stretch to book! Check out the fosters you can adopt!!
