Our family was impressed by the sights at the Miradouro da Lua. The landscape is beautiful and offers a start appreciation of how sharply Angola descends to the sea. Some caution: the site is beautiful but when we visited there was no water. It may have changed since January 2023. Still, it's worth the visit and the time to see the incredible "Melting Lands" and catch a great snap in the site's picture frame.

I never saw something like this before. Maybe Chamarel in Mauritius comes close. This has good parking spaces as well.

Great views, both the ocean and the land erosion. Paid parking. 30 min is enough to stop. Relaxing, majestic. Nice that the area well preserve

Il Miradouro da Lua è l'attrazione turistica più visitata in Angola. Si trova a una quarantina di chilometri da Luanda ed è un punto panoramico su una serie di falesie scolpite da pioggia e vento. Paesaggio lunare (donde il nome) di grande impatto visivo con l’alternanza del colore rosso in alto e le rocce bianche scavate sotto con l’oceano in lontananza.

La natura con l'ausilio dell'acqua, del vento e del tempo ha modellato il paesaggio in maniera unica e bellissima.

You really have to go there by car... Public transports are a bad idea. If you don't want to rent a car, you should choose very carefully a Taxi to go there.
But be aware, it will cost a fortune....

Just take the only road to south from talatona-Luanda, near the sea (ask the road to barra do kwanza or to Benguela) it's the only One. Then you Will see an enourmous beach, the miradouro is in the Last quarter on the way to south. And yes you can take photos.
