Be very careful not to cut your feet on the dozens of broken tiles. This shopping centre is so filthy inside and out, the car park is a disgrace.

What a terrific night out..went Australia in October 2022 with Lawrence my friend of over 30 years to visit our friends John & Janette in coolangatta..went to Draculas and what a truly great night..Show was fantastic & the meal was 1st class..served nice & hot by our waitress Mayhem (pic attached) who was terrific ...
If you're on the GoldCoast get yourself to Draculas you really will not regret it.

Convenient shopping centre near a few bus stations made it easy to get to from anywhere around the area. Good range of shops, even some decent clothing stores.

Visited a few times whilst staying at Mantra from 14th June to 18th June. We just used the Woollies store to get a few things and the hotel at street level. It's the only supermarket in Coolangatta now unless you want to drive to Tweed Heads.

Can't believe trolley collector wasn't wearing mask. Asked why he wasn't he said he was exempt. I think in a place where many people go through mask should be worn esp atm

This shopping centre has gone downhill since our visit 2 years ago. Aldi and the fruit & veg shop has gone as well as the cheap shop next door to Aldi. The only restaurant left in the food court is the pancake diner.

--- NOT VISITOR FRIENDLY --- AGRESSIVE SECURITY GUARD --- AVOID
Set up my laptop on a table at this empty mall on a quiet Tuesday afternoon a few months back when visiting Coolangatta from Melbourne for 4 days for work.
The mall was empty and I sat down to use a small section of a long table to quickly send emails to my work colleagues. I had plugged my laptop in to a power point as the battery was very low.
Within seconds a dishevelled looking elderly security guard approached me demanding I immediately move on and advising I could not sit there and I was not allowed to use the wall plug to charge my laptop.
The security guard began to stand over me in an effort to intimidate me to start packing up my computer. I found this behaviour unusual, unwelcoming and quite frankly unacceptable.
I'm not interested in causing trouble but I looked around the mall with dozens of empty chairs and tables and advised him that I would move but just needed ten minutes to send emails. I didn't feel that was a lot to ask.
At this point the security guard reached over and unplugged my laptop from the wall and again moved closer towards me trying to intimidate me. I was unsure if he was going to get violent so I moved back and stood.
As I did this the security guard spat on me swearing obscenities in the process.
I quickly realised he was looking for violence and began packing up my laptop to leave asap.
I could not believe the situation I had encountered in a quiet mall over such a minor issue. I advised The Strand management of the unacceptable behaviour from the security guard when leaving the building but they immediately took the side of their employee.
Perhaps this is the reason why the mall is constantly empty! Not a great way to entice visitors and new customers.

This mall has a few things my family likes including Woolworth, Timezone a movie cinema and more. Great fairly small centre with nice vibe.

Useful for us having Aldi and Woolworths below our apartment, but otherwise pretty dead, advertise 'vibrant beach side dining' well I hate to disagree but there is a lot of empty outlet frontage, many food outlets have come and gone, those that have remained are above our budget, it's cheaper to eat at the surf club than at the Strand. But everyone's different.

Dinky, adequate little shopping centre. Food options not good inside, however there's a good variety along the outside edge of the complex.

Gonna have 5,6 hrs to kill at Gold Coast Airport waiting for transit. Is it a good choice to go to the Strand Shopping Centre??
And how can I go to the shopping centre from the airport?
