This beautiful naturally formed island is a must visit. It is pretty and clean. You can go there in a boat.

We have visited the Tsunami Island during COVID Pandemic (March 2021).
The overall occupancy in Devbag was only 20%.
Only activities allowed are Banana Ride/ Speed Boat & Parasailing.
The locals have cartel and the rates are fixed at INR 300 per ride.
Th overall experience was good, however we found that most of the locals did not follow COVID restrictions.

This is a island in Tarkarli river near Devbagh in Malvan region. There are mainly water sports activities and small snacks shops. Nothing special.

Lot of water sports r available there. Did most of them. Rates r much more cheaper than in goa. U can enjoy the beach as near the island it's less deep , according to high tide n low tide. Kids enjoyed a lot . They were running all over. Great experience. Small stalls sell tea, gavachi dos, memos, pavs

Well it’s just one of the marketing gimmicks.. u take a boat ride and step on an island of sand.. they charge you 500 for the boat ride and you can have tea and Maggie and something to eat I the small island .. still wanna visit??

This place for Breakfast and most of the rides. The place is covered during dolphin point. Slowly water increase with time this pics taken are around 8 am

This is a must-visit place in Malvan. The water around is very deep around and experience is amazing unlike to that of any other typical beach.
This place has apparently been formed after Tsunami that struck in 2004. While there has been lots of destruction everywhere in the world due to Tsunami, this place has been unique in a way that its formed only due to Tsunami and now its bustling with tourists and people earning their living.
The place is accessible only through boat. While there are many points from where the boat-service can be availed, I think the cheapest one would be from Devbagh Sangam beach, costing around 500 per boat. We happened to take the boat from a slightly far-off point and that costed us Rs. 1200 but then that gave us a longer boat ride. The boatman showed us a few points like a temple, MTDC boathouses, Sangam beach and ride also includes a stop at Tsunami island for 1 hour. The fare obviously works out better for larger group. People are free to form their own groups and share the cost, but the authorities do not help in forming groups stating that not all groups might want to have the 1 hour wait at Tsunami island and that can cause disagreements among the groups, but then they allow.
The island is a pretty small one but has facilities of watersports like jet-ski, banana boat ride, kayaking and also parasailing etc. Also it has many small food stalls selling fruits and tasty Maharastrian dishes like Misal, Modak etc. Please note that Cash is the only mode of payments; and that's in most of the places in Malvan.
Experience with water at the island is nice as the water remains pretty shallow. So its a different experience and I would indeed recommend this place.

Tsunami island is very near the Devbag beach and has to be accessed by Boat. This very tiny island was created during the tsunami where the sand from nearby places was shifted here. There are 4-5 shacks offering delicious local snacks and tea coffee. Loved the fresh ukadi modaks. There are couple of agencies offering water sports like banana boat ride, jet ski, para sailing and kayaking. Its good family fun. We were very lucky to be at this island at the time of solar eclipse and enjoyed watching the same standing in knee deep waters around the island.
Worth visiting for 2- 3 hours of family fun.

A sand island formed during tsunami waves overnight as claimed by locals. U can reach it by boat. Worth visiting for lot of water sports activities. There are some stalls for little snack items. Prefer to visit early for less crowd n hear from sunlight.

What is the cost for stay at Tsunami Island? For per person or for per family? And whats about food?

Depends on which resort you stay put. On an average there are a lot of small resorts which they call "Nyahari Niwas". Its a small built up space with chain of rooms with TV and AC which is good if you don't want to have something lavish. By the way there are no lavish resorts there. May be just a couple but not sure of their service standards. I would recommend these rooms over.
So room stay should cost you around 1000/- to 2000/- per room per couple. They ideally don't charge for kids. However check.
Food - All these small resorts provide excellent food. Fish is the best, but even chicken mutton and veg thalis are also awesome. Go for it. Food would cost you like
Veg Thali - 150/-
Fish Thali - 300/- depending on the fish
Chicken Thali - 200 - 250

we are going to Tarkarli on 6thOctober.We will be staying at MTDC resort .Could you Please let me know how much time is required to visit Tsunami island and enjoy all the water sports there ?
what is the earliest time in the morning to go there? because I cant bear hot sun !
which company we have to contact for water sports? do we have to bargain ? what are the charges roughly ?

You need to take a boat from Devbagh....
You will have to start latest by 7 am and only after 8 - 8:30 am, you will able to land on tsunami island (as becoz it is generally covered by water, before that time).... It takes around one and a half hours for all the rides....
You dont have to contact any company.... You can ask anyone on the island and they will tell you whom to contact.... Everyone charges the same, so not to worry....
Each sport costs around Rs.300 - 500 per person.... They even gives a package of 5 rides at Rs.800/- per person.... They generally dont bargain....
You can get in touch with Panduranga (cell # +917798100713).... He took us for the boat ride and showed us 5 points in the sea, along with dolphins.... He was very friendly and told us all the historical and unknown details about the place.... He took Rs.1500/- for around 3 hours....
This much I can tell you, we had a fabulous experience....
