We went on August 19, feast of the patron Saint Magnus.
You have to be there soon x find parking but it's worth it, beautiful views, a very participatory procession and well organized food from the good bar / restaurant, in good company quality and price. Well organized to satisfy the many people present.

First of all the road leading to it is just beautiful we follow a stream in a tree-covered gorge then the road narrows, climbs to arrive in front of this imposing building
When we walk through the door of the church, we are greeted by a smiling priest who makes us discover a real treasure
A chapel painted in 1514 by Botoneri inspired by Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel
We advise all visitors to the area to go for us it was a moment of completion

It's always lovely to come back here to the sanctuary! I recommend, for those who have never been there, a nice trip up here! You will not regret it!

the Sanctuary of San Magno, dedicated to the patron saint of the pastures, is located in Castelmagno at around 1700 m. above sea level, between Pradleves and Colle della Fauniera and is set in a very beautiful mountain setting. In fact, the sanctuary dates back to the second half of the 1400s and stands majestically in a beautiful position among the mountains and pastures that surround it. Reachable by car and motorbike, but also by hikers and cyclists, it is truly worth seeing. To the side of the entrance there is a small souvenir shop. Normally open and active from June to September, a period in which the overnight stay and refreshment service is also offered to pilgrims in the appropriate accommodation. Ample parking

Bello il santuario, bello il posto, ma farsi pagare 40 euro a posto letto, ovvero 120 euro per una stanzetta con 4 brandine, senza lenzuola e senza bagno in stanza con vista sul cimitero, è una presa in giro, la colazione poi, caffè o cappuccino e brioche e via andare... niente salumi, niente formaggi, niente cereali, yogurt, e quant'altro il prezzo pagato ritenesse essenziale... ... il giorno dopo abbiamo pernottato a Sestriere, albergo 3 stelle con bagno in camera con tutto il necessaire per la toelette, letti con materassi comodi e non sfondati, parcheggio privato e colazione continentale con salumi, formaggi, selezione di pane, yogurt, tisane, succhi di frutta, uova etc. A 135 euro per 3 persone.
Poi ci lamentiamo che la gente va all'estero... costi spropositati per il nulla cosmico!

Wunderschöne Wanderung zu der Kirche die immer sehr gut besucht ist - grosses Gotteshaus mit Restaurant und Zimmer für Jugendliche Lager - Restaurant bei der Kirche mit günstigen Preisen und gutem Essen sehr gut besucht - der Betrieb vor der Kirche ist interessant da immer was läuft und geht - schöne Sitzgelegenheiten vor der Kirche.

J'avais lu dans les avis que la route était étroite pour y aller, d'accord ça monte, mais la route est tout à fait correcte, d'autant plus qu'en octobre, le mois où nous y sommes allés, il n'y avait pas grand monde!!! Le sanctuaire était fermé mais la vue est splendide, et on peut faire le tour .... Visite à ne pas manquer!

Molto ben gestito, il santuario presenta una "moderna area antistante" e una meravigliosa antica chiesetta, ricca di stupendi affreschi, un vero gioiello di bellezza e storia.

Da fuori bellissimo , da dentro mi aspettavo di più vista la struttura . Comunque da visitare. Arrivando da Caraglio semplice da raggiungere . C’è anche bar e tavola calda

La pace, la serenità, la preghiera, il piccolo cimitero retrostante il Santuario, la bellissima cripta, il loggiato, il panorama.... tutto fa si che che questo stupendo luopgo sacro meriti una salita.... da NON PERDERE !!!!
