Just the perfect boat trip. Even if you are not a bird spotter you will love this trip.
Sam and Paul are so passionate about the birds and the harbour you can’t but help getting enthusiastic too.
Will definitely be returning asap.

Utterly brilliant. Wonderful bird spotting of so many birds including white tailed eagle, osprey and marsh harrier. Intelligent and fascinating commentary by 2 experts, on both ornithology and conservation projects. Worth every penny and more. Could not recommend it more highly. Note - you don't need to know anything about birds.

A brilliant morning seeing some of the fabulous birds that have been tempted back to Poole harbour after years, and in some cases centuries, of being absent from southern England. Also the odd rare visitor, and large numbers of birds like spoonbills & avocets that you're not likely to see in your back garden. Great value for money; BoPH lend decent binoculars to those of us who don't have (or forgot) them so we can follow the action, and keep up a running commentary, full of interesting nuggets of information. The depth of their knowledge, passion for the wildlife and ability to communicate this are awesome. One word of advice - they are not joking about how cold it can be down on the water! Do wear extra layers and take something padded to sit on.

Once again a fabulous morning spent with incredibly knowledgable people. We saw some amazing birds including a kingfisher before we even left port, osprey catching a fish and 4 marsh harrier. These people should be commended for their work, for the passion of protecting for these birds as well as their fun and interesting tours. Thanks again we will definitely be returning in the hope of seeing a hen harrier and Merlin? Please arrange this for next time!

A great in-depth exploration and journey around Poole harbour focussed on the conservation and bird life found here. Very knowledgeable leads from the charity who explained the work they do with compassion, easily understood language and bags of enthusiasm. Nice blend for novice and keen birders as well as anyone wanting something more rewarding than just a jaunt around the harbour. Manged to see a wide variety of birds with good photo opportunities as a bonus.

I am not a birdwatcher at all, went with two friends who are. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the trip. The knowledgeable guide gave us so much interesting information. The skipper manoeuvred the boat perfectly. I was in awe of the way he turned the boat in the narrow Wareham river! We were given binoculars and with those I saw so much. Definitely recommend this trip to anyone, birdwatcher or not!

Well worth the 5.30am wake up call to join this fantastic cruise - we saw our first sea eagle within a few minutes of leaving the shore and then went on to see stunning osprey, spoonbills, advocets and many more birds plus rarer species such as a little stint. The enthusiasm and passion of Paul and Sam was clear to see and we learnt so much ranging from their conservation work through to the behaviours of the different birds. Thank you for the great work you are doing - we look forward to joining another cruise.

Brilliant boat tour. Second visit. Saw 7 Osprey and 2 white Eagles. And the Osprey were chasing the Eagles. Such knowledgable staff. Cant recommend it more highly. Do go if you haven't been on this cruise.

Excellent osprey boat trip. We had multiple sightings of ospreys and super views of white tailed eagles and a stunning marsh harrier.
Paul and Sam were very knowledgeable and gave great commentaries.
If you want to see extraordinary raptors and the likes of spoonbills and avocets on the same trip, then a Birds of Poole Harbour osprey safari is for you.
The icing on the cake was spotting a little stint, a black necked grebe and a little tern, all unusual harbour visitors.
A great experience, recommended without hesitation.
Paul and Sam were very knowledgeable and gave great commentaries.

Today's tour (September 3 September) was absolutely fabulous. The boat navigated skilfully down Wareham channel and all around the harbour, with Sam and Paul guiding us very skilfully and patiently through the treasure trove of thrills: rare migrating birds as well as more familiar favourites (ospreys, march harrier and white tailed eagle). Watching an eagle in flight, and aerobatic dog-fights with ospreys were among the highlights, as well as a trip over to Brown Sea Island to see spoon bills, little tern, grey plover etc. Thank you so much to Birds of Poole Harbour for giving us such a fascinating tour, and thank you for all your continuing conservation work, especially the wonderful Osprey breeding programme. A brilliant tour, perfectly balancing patience and detail with passion and environmental concern! Thank you!
