We were two, who were met and guided by Simen. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and answered all our more or less sensible questions well! One hour and 15 minutes normated time became two extremely interesting and educational hours. Great thanks - this museum is a little gem!

Very interesting and educational visit. A good adult guide with in-depth insight into the history of the Bible guided me through the museum. An unforgettable experience. Although we did not agree with all aspects of the guide's view of Christianity, we had a great and respectful tour.

What a place! Fantastically interesting and a very good guide with solid knowledge who piloted us with facts and heart. Very well worth a visit.

Visiting the Nordisk Biblemuseum was a very nice experience during my stay in Oslo. The staff there are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Their theological understanding added an extra layer of insight to the visit, making it even more engaging. Unfortunately I didn’t make use of their guide directly from the start of my visit.
The museum boasts a remarkable collection of Bibles, showcasing a wide variety of languages and artistic styles. I especially enjoyed seeing the beautiful art Bibles and was amazed by their collection of very tiny Bibles—such intricate and impressive pieces!
For non-Norwegian speakers, they thoughtfully provide a map with translations from Norwegian to English, which makes navigating and understanding the exhibits effortless.
Overall, it was an enriching and enjoyable visit, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in history, theology, or the art of Bible-making.

A total gem of a museum. Small, centrally located and fascinating. We visited with the Oslo Pass but otherwise admission is very reasonable. We were offered a folder with comprehensive explanations in English for all the exhibits but also were lucky enough that they offered a guided tour with a gentleman named Rasmus, who offered a wonderful narrative about all the different bibles and books. Highly recommended and definitely worth to make the time to visit when you are in Oslo.

Great and educational exhibition. The guided tour is included in the ticket. Nice museum store. Located centrally in Oslo and easy to find.

Fantastic friendly staff. Very interesting and instructive. The Bible has really influenced everything into our modern age. Took the opportunity to donate 4 old Bibles from Sweden.

So glad we found this museum,it was the first place we visited when we visited Oslo for 3days. It's not just ancient Bibles you are looking at,but how the word of God has survived throughout time and languages. It is amazing to see the work that has gone before us to ensure that people all around the World can read a Bible in their language. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers run this museum and they are only too pleased to talk to you and share their knowledge and Faith with you. We came from Wales in the UK but can talk to a Norwegian about our shared Faith because centuries ago Bibles were translated into our languages. We speak different languages but worship the same God.
