She came to this beach to spend an afternoon at sea during her holiday in Catania.
In addition to the price of the cot € 6 I had to pay € 5 entrance to the lido, unthinkable! In the end it is well served, the bathroom is well maintained, there are changing rooms, showers, swimming pool and playgrounds and the beach is very wide but, the restaurant and bar remained to the 80s.
The sunbed was dirty and all broken despite the beach was empty.

Lido Azzurro lies on the sandy beachfront of Catania. It is reachable by bus D, but you need to watch out because the driver won't tell you when to get off.
This sandy beach is just spectacular and has a lot to offer to meet various interests. First off, there is the obvious seafront with sunshades and beds, some with cushions. Next, there are loads of sports facilities. And then there is a self-service restaurant, as well. Naturally, there are lifeguards watching over the sea, so kids are also very safe.
In terms of pricing, there is an entry fee, plus you need to pay for the parasols and sunbeds if you wish (I'd recommend that), but all this for two comes at around 25-35€ depending on level of quality.

Award is correct, equipment too. The beach is great for families.
2 small flats:
- the sound sometimes in the background, sometimes hyper loud / poorly adjusted disco that the team triggers randomly (for us it was for 1 hour then nothing)
-the restaurant was open at 12:30 but at 1:00 it was still not open. When you have a child who is hungry, it is too late;) There is a small snack area in the meantime but too bad that the restaurant part opens too late.

A jump into the 80s. Lido with dirty and old sunbeds and umbrellas. Arrived at 15.30 paid 25 euros for two sunbeds. The sea looks like a river of India. Lifeguard who doesn't even open your beds. In addition, at 1745, a subspecies of loud caddy music starts with a speaker that is missing in the villages of the 2000s. Crazy.

We arrived at 3.15pm today. The nice lady at the counter had told us that we had arrived at a good time because after 3 p.m. 50% discount will be granted, we were very pleased. We had an umbrella and two sunbeds at the front of the beach. On the table which was attached to the umbrella you found two stickers with QR codes the first displayed a card for cocktails sandwiches etc. and with the second you can order the drink etc. via WhatsApp. A waitress brought us this directly and was very friendly. You can also pay cash by card. Nearby is also a stage with stage program, the children had danced there and played tug of war. There are many Things to do for children and adults. The beach was clean, the water was unfortunately a bit warm but we still had a great afternoon 😊

When we arrived there, we asked if we could just eat and take a quick dive in the sea to refresh (because the heat is strong this year) without the need to use the structure of the beach, but they wanted to charge us 5,00 euros just to get into the sea. Rude attendants, who wanted to charge us even only having gone to see the sea.
Right next door, there is a public beach with a super tasty bar and bathroom, and the best..NOT charged for just entering the sea.

Lovely beach with fine white sand. Nice and clean. Low water, lovely warm and clean, perfect for children. Lifeguards on guard all the time, who kept an eye on the water and the sunbeds. Nice with showers and toilets for free use.
Of course, it's not free. We gave 25 € for two sunbeds with umbrella. They were well given out when you think about what the public beach next door looked like, it looked like a landfill with a lot of garbage and leftover stuff.
Nice with serving by the umbrellas, easy ordering using QR code.
Bus stop just outside but extremely unreliable buses and timetables so we took taxi both directions, it is recommended. The reception helped with booking a taxi.
We will be back next time we go to the beach in Catania.

Many years ago it was splendid, now you just can't go there. Previously only those who obviously had a house there could enter the private area, now it's for everyone, the beach is always dirty, you can find bottles, cans and all this rubbish but then you complain about the algae which is the only normal thing it's natural

We were 3 people, 2 adults and a 13 year old girl on July 31st. It was not possible to get 3 sunbeds and just one umbrella so we shared one of the sunbeds. The swimming pool is out of use, the sea is ugly given the proximity to the port, the beach is summarily clean, the showers are few and far between on the beach and those near the outdoor changing rooms, no possibility of taking a shower with detergents. 35 euros badly spent

Too much confusion and little attention to cleanliness, but for a day at the beach it's fine....the cheap self-service restaurant is good
