Ample parking that allows you to leave your car and start a walking path surrounded by nature. A bit slippery and bumpy after 10 minutes you arrive at the view of the fantastic lake: the only natural in Sardinia. Very nice for an outing with friends even to see just for a moment. There is the possibility to walk around it in full

Il lago di Baratz a settembre è ancora povero di acque, vista la siccità che ormai dura da mesi, ma rimane sempre una splendida occasione per trascorrere del tempo in pace e tranquillità, ammirare gli uccelli e gli insetti, e godere del silenzio, ascoltando solo i rumori della natura lontano dal frastuono dei rompiscatole.
Buon pranzo inoltre presso Su Pinnettu, locale poco distante, sulla strada vicina, a base di piatto composto e super panino. Titolari gentilissimi e molto simpatici.

Se è vero che è l'unico lago naturale sardo, da buon lombardo lo definirei poco più di una pucia, una pozza, talmente è piccolo come lago.
Indubbiamente bello, ma da raggiungere appositamente al di fuori dal solito percorso turistico, ma costa solo qualche minuto in pù, per esempio dalla strada che porta ad Is Arutas.
Un giro lo merita, ma nulla di più.

Sabato 13 marzo 2021, complice la giornata primaverile abbiamo deciso di seguire il percorso segnato che permette di fare il giro del lago, passando attraverso radure in fiore, boschetti di macchia mediterranea, tra farfalle, tartarughe, orchidee selvatiche, il raro cisto rosa , e sopratutto una condizione di silenzio e tranquillità, interrotti solo dallo simpatico starnazzare delle anatre e da altri uccelli che vivono nei presso del lago.
Due ore e 40 per percorrere tutto il giro e trascorrere dei momenti davvero imperdibili.
Consigliato per chi ama la natura e non ha pretese di trovare la spiaggia................

Essendo di strada sul nostro percorso e incuriositi dal fatto che sia l’unico bacino naturale sardo abbiamo deciso di fare una piccola deviazione verso questo lago.
Nulla di memorabile.
Oltretutto non è balneabile e non ha neanche spiagge o riva.

We set out on this hike a year ago and turned back about two thirds of the way through because the route became a bit confusing and we were running out of light. This time we did it with a GPS and frankly I'm not sure why we got confused last year. Probably because the route moves well away from the lake itself at the north end, and we thought we'd taken a wrong turning.
It's a fairly pleasant walk taking about two hours to complete the circuit, but lake views are limited after the first half hour and we made the mistake of doing it second time on a Sunday, when everyone in Sardinia who owns a gun is out using it. I'm not necessarily against hunting, but the sound of guns popping off within 100 metres of you is a bit unnerving and if the hunters were wearing hi-vis vests, we weren't. In some parts we had to detour off the path because hunters were staking it out. There are signs forbidding hunting everywhere, but I guess they only apply to locations within sight of those notices. We had a similar experience two years ago on a Sunday hiking near Dorgali. We'll stick to cities and beaches on Sundays in future.

Passare un intera giornata al lago e alla pineta che si apre poi su una distesa di dune che lasciano poi il posto al mare,porto ferro,è un esperienza bellissima da fare almeno una volta a stagione. Alcuni giorni fa ho visitato questi posti,ancora percepisco il profumo del pino,rosmarino,lentischio..possibile a piedi,in bici o a cavallo!

Quando la natura regna sovrana non si può far altro che fermarsi a guardare..di una bellezza unica..sconosciuto a tanti ma forse fa parte del suo mistero..si narra di una città sommersa..chissà..

Siamo stati questo pomeriggio
In questa location fantastica
Posto isolato immerso nel verde e nella tranquillità di una pineta
E l' unico lago della Sardegna
Non è possibile fare il bagno perché l'acqua è melmosa
Ma è' possibile riposare sentendo solamente il canto dei numerosi uccelli e il frinire delle cicale
Da sfruttare soprattutto nelle giornate molto ventose
In questa location fantastica

Consiglio di visitare questo lago naturale (l'unico in sardegna) a qualche km da Alghero. Dotato di area parcheggio e percorsi vita per piccole escursioni.
