We found Simon via Tripadvisor and the excellent reviews and being my first time to Europe, and an avid rider, my wife made sure we got in contact for a day tour.
We stayed 5 days in Paris, and the tour was honestly the best part. Feeling back at home on 2 wheels instead of the metro , taking in Paris, the countryside and the lunacy of downtown traffic, with all of the senses is an absolute "do not miss". As I own Triumphs and would be overly confident on one, we rented a Bonneville and my wife hopped on back, camera in tow. Bike ran perfectly (although quietly, damn EU restrictions) with a 6 pack rack / grab rail on back, made the trip more comfortable for the both of us.
We headed out of close to downtown from a very small, but cool bike shop with friendly people inside and out, straight to the main highway to the countryside to Versailles marketplace. Had a quick stop to pick up munchies, where Simon seemingly knew everyone in the massive market, and where all the good stuff to eat was. Next we headed out through small towns, twisty roads, very old and neat chateaus, stopped for picnic and a coffee , and for the last part of the trip because we arrived back so early, we booted around the Paris core, pretending to be a true seemingly reckless Parisian scooter maniac. This part by the way cannot be summed up in words, if you have the nerve to do it, go for it, and make sure you mount a camera. You will never forget it if you survive!
We will not hesitate to call Simon again when we return to the city of lights for another more custom tour that he offers that can be tailored to your interests or landmarks. He is very knowledgeable in everything Paris, including history, food, sites etc, and beyond that a great guy to hang out with for the day. A new found friend for life!

My wife & I were planning a 30th wedding anniversary trip to UK & France. Considered a few motorcycle tours that exceeded our appetite for time, distance and riders and then discovered Simon Burke. We were able to persuade him to a 48 hour exclusive tour and his choices in routes & lodging were beyond our expectation. He rode a sportster and I rented a Road King from VTwin & we were off to the countryside, medieval towns, riding along the Loire River, to our lodging at a Chateau where we had a wonderful multi-course meal. The next day we road to Orleans, & then opened the throttle back to Paris. Simon is wonderful company, knowledgeable about the areas we rode & took great efforts to make our trip memorable. Triple thumbs up.

Simon and his associate Andre made my trip to Europe so much better than I could have even expected. He helped me arrange a rental from V-Twin in Paris (which was a great place to rent from) and started with a stop by Versailles to pick up lunch in a market then off to the touring of several different Chateau's and great roads and views of the countryside and small towns (especially the 17 turns loop) Then back by the Eiffel Tower along the river to where we started. The rental location is right by a metro stop so it's easy to get back to your hotel.
Simon and Andre were great guides and fun to spend the day with.

I would like to give a 5 stars + all thumbs up for Simon and VTwin, had an awesome time riding with a Sporty on French roads!
Simon is just a great guide, very cool and fun guy, and a very nice person. We started our trip leaving VTwin's taking the highway and going into some nice roads outside Paris. Was simply amazing, had the best time ever going through some beautiful small curvy roads with nice trees on a sunny day meeting along some nice chateaux with great history. One great thing is that they weren't very "touristy" chateaux or places, so you can also enjoy the local small cities you go through, finding the local culture fascinating.
Simon was up to all of the places, so simply the best guide, I took some great pictures from the spin and from now on will definitively make sure to take a road roll every time I visit Paris!
And VTwin was great as well! Gils was very receptive and nice helping with questions, and the bike - a sporty 1200 - was perfect and they provided a helmet in great shape too (they provide other things too should you need it). Will definitively return!
Have been to Paris a few times, and this is just the best thing I have done so far! Second nicest thing is riding a bicycle around the town, for that Simon with FatTireBike must do a great work to! :)

It was a great day on the bike, we stopped at a market and picked up food for a picnic lunch. Off we went and toured the country, stopping a long the way to take pictures and visit Chateaus. The route is suggested by Simon unless you have a plan of your own - which he will accomodate. His route has some excellent roads, great view and some nice curves.
Classic Vtwin Tours was excellent to work with. Very accomodating, provided us with a jacket and the bike was in excellent shape. Philippine was great to work with and very responsive.

I'd never ridden on the back of a motorcycle before, but I had the time of my life cruising down a two-way road through the French countryside. The chateaux you get to see are less-known and therefore less tourist-y, making the adventure really come to life! Simon is an awesome tour guide, really knows his stuff, and will keep you laughing the entire way. Don't spend your time in Paris on a stuffy bus with a headset on...crank some classic rock on that Harley and hit the road!

Picture yourself on a ride through the forest of Rambouillet with the wind in your hair and the whimsical feeling like you might actually be trapped in an old fairy tale. Just when you think it can't get any better you ride into a tiny fogotten village in the middle of the forest! Simon has the keen ability to combine humor and intellect quite nicely.

If you love Harley's and you love traveling in foreign countries, then there is nothing better than this tour. My wife and I got along great with our tour guide Simon and I think we found our new favorite activity.

I went on Simon’s tour last fall, and let me just say, it is one of the best things I’ve done in Paris. Simon is an excellent tour guide, not only will he answer any question you may have about France, but he’ll do it with humor too!
It was great to get off the beaten tourist path and see some chateaux I never would have discovered otherwise. And winding along old country lanes, beats the highway every time! I’ll never forget the cute towns we passed through, and the many stalls of delicious-looking food in the Versailles market.
Even for those who aren’t frequent Harley riders, like myself, the trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and you won’t regret it!

When I found out they did Harley Tours through the French countryside, I couldn't have been more excited. After taking the tour, I can't say enough good things. Simon is an excellent guide, and the ride couldn't have been better. It helped a lot to have a guide, as I could have never found such a beautiful route.
If you ride, and you're going to Paris, you cannot afford to miss out on this.
