I can't even begin to explain how amazing this beach is! I absolutely adore strolling along the shore in the morning when everything is calm and serene. And let me tell you, the lively atmosphere in the afternoon is like a live show, haha! Walking along the beach, making a pit stop at Negril treehouse or skylark for a drink, and then hopping on a boat to the island... Honestly, this is my top beach in the whole wide world, and I've been to quite a few!

If you come to Jamaica my absolute advice is to forget all the other locations and find yourself a hotel on the beautiful seven MILES beach. Only here will you be in contact with Jamaica and the Jamaicans. Full of clubs with live music. For me one of the most beautiful beaches in the world!! Relax and respect!

Visited with a bunch of friends on our boys trip. The beach was clean. The water was calm, clean and nice. We spent couple of hours in the water. Good for swimming. There are bunch of water activities on the beach offered by various operators. We didn’t do any but if you want to do it there is a variety of options. The water was very calm when we visited hardly any waves which might be boring or not so much fun for kids so just be aware. As others have mentioned there are lots of people trying to sell stuff. We just avoided them and they didn’t bother us much.

This is one of the best beaches in Jamaica!! It was so beautiful, clear blue, clean sand. Breathtaking view! Loved it so much that we were there in November 2024 for the first time and went right back January 2025. I highly recommend staying at one of the resorts or hotels along this 7 mile beach. I spent 1 day each trip just admiring it.

So Seven Mile Beach and its towering palm trees are truly amazing. A beach walk indeed takes you half a day, also because of the fun places and shops along the side. The only thing we truly disliked was that on one saturday beach day, 32 hustlers / musicians / masseurs / loiterers etc asked attention- we counted. Little tranquillity this way. Highly recommend to stay on a beach side resort terrace to avoid this, and to go swimming when time is right.

Went there for our honeymoon in 2019. We have traveled to many beach destinations over the years, even the Maldives, but this remains the most beautiful beach in the world, with calm, clean waters. Get someone with a boat to take you snorkeling - absolutely worth it!

It is described as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world, at least five of them I have visited personally, and I must say that seven mile beach does not have the characteristics to fall into the ten mouse. In defense I must say that due to hurricanes in recent years the coast has been heavily eroded by storm surges and what was once a large and white expanse has now more than halved. There are some areas, at the larger hotels, which are better kept as the buildings are further from the sea and therefore the sandy area is wider. Beautiful and colorful, the walk alternates between lush nature and kiosks where you can have a drink or dinner. Overall a nice beach but not among the best I have visited.

Stunning beach, super crystal clear. A beauty. You have a walk of about an hour and one back. Sand that's a talc. There is little hotel on the beach. But it's a must-see.

We are looking to visit negril beach and want to go just bed an breakfast maybe cherela inn.

Its basically a good 5 miles or more of beach . Many stops along the way with private beach locations which have faclities to use . I use tcjtours for all transportation in Jamaica for 7 years there located in Montego Bay just reach out to them and book with them . Theres no entrance cost but charges are for the beach chairs and activities . Top spots are boardwalk, Negril tree house , margaritaville , ricks cafe for sure . Bring cash and credit cards local activities are cash only . Drivers will bring you where you need to go and make stops like i said its all bookable on there website .

We have a trip planned for Negril and hear there is an issue with sargassum/seaweed right now. Does anyone have some updated info on this?

Yes we flew home Feb 7th and Feb 5th terrible rain wind storm....beach at Sandals was eroded...high waves and large amounts of seaweed...Staff desperately trying to rake and remove it

Tcjtours is the best options for private i use them every year . I would recommend Negril Tree house and Boardwalk . There are so many entry points to the beach . You can book with tcjours online on the tour page the drivers spend the day with you and when you ready to leave they leave .

Vi tu comentario y te queria hacer unas consultas. Yo fui a jamaica hace unos años e hice un tour que nos llevaban a negril, pero en el medio parabamos a comer en un bar, no llevaron a hacer compras y dsp terminamo en el cafe ricks. Pero de playa fue casi nada, o muy poco.
Entonces pense en la idea de buscar ir directamente a la playa 7 miles en taxi, (nosotros estariamos en montego bay) y que nos busquen para volver, pero la duda es si es factible eso, o son solo playas privadas? y en caso que si, que me recomendas vos, el tema de como ir, o a que hora ir. Yo quiero pasar el mayor tiempo posible en la playa.

i know its been a while ago but do you remember where you actually hung out on 7 mile beach? where you got the cheap lobster? and lastly was this just a day trip from a cruise? if so is it easy to get a taxi at the port that would pick you up at the end of your day? any information is appreciated. my cruise leaves Oct 2, 22

We gained access to the beach by purchasing a day pass at the Negril Tree House Resort. Our driver, Miguel, taught us this hack. The resort will allow you to pay $10 for a day pass and that includes a chair and umbrella. Miguel can be found on Trip Advisors and instagram by searching Montiq_tours.ja. He customized a tour for us from Montego Bay to Negril. Our day trip was wonderful. We made several stops and did not have to worry about driving. It was one of our best days during our stay.

I don’t think I‘ve been to bloody bay but I can say that I will never go back to 7 Mile Beach. The water was muddy. There were holes & bumps under the water that you didn’t know were there until you tripped or fell in a hole! The bottom felt terrible on my feet - mud & seaweed. We combined this with watching the sunset from Rick’s Cafe. The sunset was nothing worth seeing. I’ve seen way more beautiful sunsets right here at home in Canada! So we spent at least 2 hours each way to & from Negril, a couple of hours on a lousy beach, then the bus trip to Rick’s for about an hour. All in all, we spent more time on the bus than anywhere else. We were out for a full 12 hours. It was a total waste of time & money. We could have had a great day at the resort instead & saved a couple hundred dollars. I wouldn’t recommend it.
